JLI are not in a sweet spot imo, they are still too strong in infantry battles. Its just nobody abuses them atm cause... tiger/ falls
i dont recommend nerfing usf main features, vehicle crews and good moving accuracy, there have to be other ways of dealing with it. As said, i think a toggle ability is the best idea ive heard so far.
as long as Jackson maintains its damage, range and penetration, it will be able to deal with heavy tanks, that's why by nerfing the other aspects that make this TD over the top should be looked at.
My take is the same as before: Give them pernament HVAP shells, meaning lower rate of fire and higher pen. Better at countering heavies and worse at countering mediums. Then make the USF M1 a copy paste of the UKF 6pdr so that it’s worse vs heavies but easier to use vs mediums.
I think this is the best and safest idea, but i bet the mod team wants to keep the uniqueness of the 57mm, as they did with the reketen |
just nerf it bit by bit, until you find the sweet spot (like they did with JLI). Do it as early as possible so changes can be done by the next iteration of the patches. Just start off with a moving accuracy nerf to 0.5, if that's not enough then maybe remove vehicle crews for Jackson too and continue on and give time for testing because the jackson probably is one of the most delicate units in the game, especially for USF.

Looking at the changes, the mod team clearly knows ost needs help but are hesitant to buff them, but they dont show these same precautions when buffing allied factions and lack consistency across all factions. I would be happy with these small changes, if it follows with nerfs to certain units like Jackson, so fingers crossed they are looking to nerf some units.
Regarding heavy tanks, they are easily countered in team games, but OP in 1v1's. PPl saying heavies AI needs to be nerfed, if u do that no one is going to build them. CP Delay should be enough, to give the opponent time to prepare. |
Can we adjust the late game performance of Volks? I think they are a little bit to weak compared to other units.
My suggestion is to give them better k98 at vet5 similar to infantry sections, but this could be quite diffcult to balance.
The simpler solution is to give them an acc bonus on vet 4 => now they get 40% acc from vet 0->5 like most units.
that would just be power creep. if main lines becomes so good, ther would no point in going into elite inf. it would be better to adjust the late game of vet of other main line inf |

Conscripts have been nerfed in the patch preview so i am not gonna say anything on it.
And about ISU i think it's in a good place right now. Because guess what? Soviets need to devise a strategy too to penetrate the axis Frontline laced with Paks and big paks, mines, raketens to reach the heavy TD of axis. So it is the same on both sides. And oh did i mention shreck blobs? Since we are talking about team games I'm sure if a team has issue dealing with an isu then it's their incompetency for wrong commander selection. Axis have skill planes. Jadpanzers. Retreating raketens. Blitzing panthers and so and so on to counter ISU. Don't make me believe like it's an impossible task which isn't.
Add in round switching delay and no attack on move of isu, slow speed, 22 pop cap. I see no reason why this unit should not excel at its role and cannot be countered.

Yes, axis have counters, but its about how effective and cost efficient the counters are, having to dive in with expensive panthers with no guarantee of taking out the isu is incredibility risky, the panther doesn't counter the isu in a way like for example, the Jackson would counter a panzer 4. Jagpzners dont have the pen to reliably counter the isu. Just because something is not impossible doesn't mean its okay, what kind of thinking is this.

Jagdtiger doesn't need cost reduction but better performance IMO.
It's just not good enough as it is. It often gets countered by the same things it is designed to counter.
- Mark target + 2 SU85s delete it
- 2 HVAP Jackons delete it
- T34 ram + IL2 bombs delete it when trying to counter ISU etc.
- You only need JT to counter ISU but ISU has mark target + IL2 bombs with it and both make using the JT very hard and risky. So I don't really know how this is supposed to be balanced.
IMO just not good enough. It takes so long to rotate, aim and shoot. Give me Elefant any day over this unit. Better to get two JP4s instead and combine them with Tiger or KT in almost any case.
Tiger can not be locked behind SWS when OKW tech is so much more expensive than Soviet tech. In what world is an IS2 arriving 50 fuel earlier fair?
At the same time Tiger needs an anti-infantry nerf as aerafield said. No matter what CP or tech requirements people will always go for Tiger because it's an absolute killing machine and feels absurd when vetted. Considering IS2 got nerfed it would only make sense if the Tiger got a nerf too because it's even stronger than the IS2 at the moment.
tiger can consistently take out models to bleed the enemy, but it doesn't insta wipe squads, compare the ai between the Pershing and the tiger, if the tiger's ai is OP, then Pershing's ai is out of this world. They way the tiger can reliably hit individual models is how all heavies should work imo, this means ther are less random wipes, more consistency and more time for your opponent to react while still making the tiger worth going for. |
Alternative does not necessarily mean replace. Alternative mainline only refers to their combat role and power level. It's said nowhere that they are meant to completely replace Volks. Quite the contrary, as the last part of the description, because "interesting compositions" obviously doesn't refer to Panzerfusiliers completely replacing Volksgrenadiers. I should know, since I helped write those notes.

I wonder what Vipper's opinion was if Panzerfüssiliers were an Allied unit.
So just to summarize: a unit that has 6 man, 3 G43s, longest snare in coh2, grenade without call out, flare, sprint, cheap reinforce cost and overall much stronger combat performance than Volks are considered UP.
Vipper time and time argues that Penals are OP but at the same time thinks Panzerfüssiliers, which are objectively just better, are UP. This must be the absolute definition of ridiculous double standards.
If pfussies wer an allied unit, axis would have an easier time then going up against inf like riflemen and penals. Pfussies are weaker then volks in early and mid game, but only in late game ther better, overall combat performance i prefer volks but pfussies do have some nice utility and i dont agree ther up but i disagree with your statement saying pfussies are straight up better then penals. Penals utterly destroy pfussies except when in the lategame. |
