Well, I would like to apologise to those who have put forward well reasoned arguments which I've taken issue with...

Not so much to those who merely state or shout rather than discuss. Certainly not to anyone who thinks I was deliberately dishonest.

Even I got one to Vet1 once.... Admittedly for all of a second as some bastid one shotted it before I could test out the self repair..

Saying that I was determined to find a use for them so must have built about 50. Oh and I was probably playing other rank 1s.

As Luvnest and Jove have yet to post on my humble thread I think we can safely assume that their nerve has deserted them ( according to my lawyer it could also be that they don't sprechen de Eeeengleesh).

So if you're the type who would stride unto the breach where all others have failed; if you would go where the SAS fear to tread; if you want to show those namby pamby primadona pros ( those who speak English at any rate) who is the man then your country needs you by God!

I think there should be a prize. Would you be able to dedicate a moustache twiddle with slightly raised eyebrow in respect for anyone who can achieve the feat Latch?

Personally I think saying they are outgunned is over egging it a tadge. They are good at range and on the defensive, which is fine as it fits with the faction design. This to my mind makes them decidedly meh rather than UP. I'm not convinced they are value for money and often don't bother reinforcing just to use the heal in base but it is my choice rather than something forced upon me, I just prefer the other units, in the early to mid game at least. They are quite powerful with 5 man squads and Brens but I can never find the resources to do this early enough to make building them a priority.

It also has to be said that assaulting with IS is possible and effective when combined with an airlanding officer, though it would be nice if you weren't stuck with one commander to unlock this.

I'm thinking more along the lines of IS being able to throw or fire smoke for RE to chase into. Ditto for 25pdrs to get infantry and Croms round the back.

Just a thought... What friendly fire damage does a 25pdr barrage do?

You might be better listing this as bullet points for buffs / nerfs.

Just looks like an Axis wishlist of nerfs so far with a few tiny and inconsequential buffs.

Frankly, whilst I will assume your intentions are honourable, talking about 'fixing' a faction which you apparently don't play much in isolation probably isn't that helpful. Even amongst those that do there are significantly different playstyles ( emplacements get the hate mail, tanks the loveletters in my experience) which should be taken into account.

As a small example you can't really talk about emplacements in isolation. Halving their HP whilst leaving Leigs / mortar / shreck blobs intact on the other side would make them less than useless. You might think the bofors needs tuning down, though anyone regularly coming up against the Schwerer probably wonders what you are on about... 17pdr has much bigger problems than merely popcap. It is so large that there are very few places to use one etc etc... Indeed the only use I've found for this static AT is taking out the equally static but very scary Schwerer!
