Not unrealistic. whilst the crash gearbox had 4 gears it took superhuman strength ( considering the midgets who crewed them) to get it into top apparently. I voted ram, would be fun to watch. Thread: Infantry Sections, Cover Bonuses and Design7 Mar 2016, 16:13 PM Because in actual usage you get a grenade to the face which chases you out of cover, or kited which means leaving cover, or closed down by a close range unit ( sturms etc) all of which means both leaving cover and suffering the Tommies wonderful moving accuracy. REs give you a chance of wiping rather than merely driving off. Once you drop a model, or two in the case of 5 man squads, the balance of strength becomes quite different. Granted in a defensive or purely plinking at long range scenario the IS wins out but even at my level, and I'm never going to be number 1 with the Brits, opponents don't let me do this. From looking at stats maybe. Same with stats showing 222% or whatever for abilities which cost you 4 minutes worth of munitions to be gifted to the nearest Ober. Real game is different and engineers comfortably beat IS in my experience. Unless that is you are merely talking defensively, in which case you have to wonder when you are ever going to attack. Thread: Give UC cap7 Mar 2016, 00:38 AM Does the suppressive fire ability for the K upgrade even work? I've never seen it suppress anything, maybe a bit of extra damage ( not that the K seems to do more than the square root of bugger all anyway) but never suppress or pin. In: COH2 Balance

And this is why I am clearly utterly obsessed with trying to get a useful change to the UC. If you lock out with the bofors, or choose neither, you have no defence against ISGs in particular. If you don't pick the AEC you have no way of taking ground and especially garrisons. The only partial solution is an aggressively placed pit, though you have to devote so much manpower to ( unsuccessfully) defending it that you have little map presence. The above effectively make IS useless to me, they are great on the defence but when you have to deny or take resources in the mid game and contest a second VP they just bleed you dry due to their expense, inability to deal with light armour, inability to take a garrisons and lack of upgrades which don't lead to problems dropping weapons. Your suggestion would in fact make this far worse, nerfing the only useful non doc infantry that the UKF possess. In: COH2 Gameplay
