Sorry OP calling L2P here.
Go for snipers and bleed from range, or go for sov mortar. The MG's are static, use that to your advantage.
Dont just ctrl+a and go afk. |
From my understanding once you've hit the button the shell immediatly becomes HEAT. No reload time involved.
So what you are saying is, if my Panzer 4 fires one at a Sherman, and I immediately press the HEAT button, the P4 will fire again? |
That's the result of Relic's foolish "scope".
It's not so much foolish scope, rather you cannot test every single combination in a game prior to releasing a patch.
They dont have the resources any more.
There is a lesson you can get out of this:
*snip*
To add to this, most people dont realise that both fuel points on this map are cut off by a significant choke point that is changing hands often, both the southern and northern ends of the map.
In addition, in a 4v4 setting this is a bullshit map because of how small it is.
|
So to add on OP's question, does it work like the incendiary MG rounds, as in the unit stops what it's doing, reloads and then starts firing, OR once you activate it, weather the tank has reloaded or not, thier next shot is HEAT?
If you activate just after a shot, those are valuable seconds lost iIMO |
Is it me, or is that a LOT of gear they are landing with? |
In my opinion the Brits are know even stronger than before at least against OKW. Because the Rifle Blob is now more spread than before, OKW Stukas and ISG are far less effective against them. And because of that your OKW infantry gets overrun easily by them. I played both sides in 3v3 and 4v4, and I have to say its far more easy now to play against OKW as a Brit at least in early to mid.
Yep. Had few games against UKF as OKW, got absolutely destroyed.
This is one of those things that happen when you dont have the money for a full comprehensive testing. |

In real war, veterancy was gained by spending time in theater not only in combat but also performing mundane tasks. Why don't volks get vetted for sitting around doing observation duty?
I guess CoH2 isn't real war.
I had a hearty chuckle at the volks part. Thanks mate!
Also, in real war, the Elefant would engage targets 2.5km away and successfully destroy them. |
These differences in design should be considered, and not just on the basis of the strategic freedom they provide, but also on the illusion of said freedom - there is a difference in being able to forgo a tier because I can live without it, or by having to forgo a tier, because I couldn't possibly recoup the invested resources by inflicting an equal amount of loss on the enemy.
P.S.: Then there is of course the cost of the units in relation to their effectiveness to be considered - OKW doesn't look particularly good there, especially if we look at the units available only through teching. Most of their tanks for example don't do anything special, yet they are considerably more expensive than their counterparts (for which there is of course an historic reason) beyond their mere stat increases.
Well said sir!
Given the extensive resource sink that is OKW, even team games you rarely see all 4 trucks, unless OFC you are playing against PC |
Because the scope was directed by a community poll that was flawed by design. Nothing on the end of the modding team my friend.
Yo, See reply below from Bean:
The scope was partially set by a community survey. However, as the balance team began to delve into the game they began to make numerous changes throughout. This led Relic to become nervous that a massive bug or game breaking change would be implemented and they radically reduced the units that could be considered. As a result, these units you mentioned are of interest but balancing the whole game simultaneously became impossible and we have to wait.
when the patch is live?
By AEST (AUS Eastern Standard Time) it should've been sometime yesterday, but because we are 14 hours ahead of everyone, it will be today.

For the Wherboo 4v4 casuals like myself, I honestly see esports as just another dick swinging contest.
Anyway, if you rekon it will postpone the life of CoH2, then sure, why not |
