Even if they did the unit should not be able to hit and penetrate PzIV from 20 unit outside the PzIV range with such high probability. Before the buff to M-36 allot of top player preferred the M-10 to the M-36 in many situations. The M-10 in live is a cost efficient unit. In: COH2 Balance

There is absolutely no reason for the soviet and USF to have the stats and role. The USF is already superior with radio net, smoke and crew. Try to balance both unit in different factions is very difficult and serves little purpose. (see Panthers and PzIVs). Veterancy issues have to do with the fact that soviet version uses the very high T-34/76 vet bonuses and the penetration buff seem out of place when the unit already has HVAP shells options. It would be eqully out of place for the 75mm Sherman to get more AOE in its main gun. In: Lobby

Especially when i see a Pershing being unable to penetrate a Panther. Jagdpanzer IV costs 135 fuel, while Jackson costs 140. Yeah ok, they got a -/+5 fuel, but still. And Axis has a 185 fuel tank (Panther) that is able to compete with a 230 fuel tank (Pershing) at absolute ease. Not to mention IS-2. ... A Pershing firing on Panther at max range has around 85% to penetrate and 100% with the AP shot. A Panther firing at Pershing has 73%. Panther is not tank, it is TD and it is especially design to counter Super heavies like IS-2 and Pershing that may cost more fuel but have tech cost. And I would say that it can counter them with absolute ease. In: COH2 Balance

The problem is not that Jackson can fight PzIV but that it can fight the majority of axis vehicles effectively. In the case of PzIV the problem is that the chance to hit and penetrate a PzIV is very high even at max range while it not easy to be flanked like the SU-85 or have slow ROF like FF. M-36 performance is part of the reason that M-10 which is a cost efficient unit sees little action. TD should actually be separated to those best fitted vs medium tanks and those better fitted to fight heavy tanks. In: COH2 Balance

Because they are the only infiltration unit that doesn't spawn with all abilities on cooldown(which again, includes inferior partisan molotovs). Actually the ability tactical movement is in cool-down only their grenades are not. The unit is designed to destroy cashes and the flame grenade is one of the tools to achieve that. One could simply have partisan molotovs also not be on cooldown on spawn (then one should also add a premium on the unit for being able to infiltrate and bring it inline with other similar units, and also give JLRI a grenade since they do not have one as other infiltration infantry have). In addition one should also have look at tactical movement and either have it require a weapon upgrade or replace with a defensive ability. Small squads with high DPS tend to perform inconstantly. Also, I dont think theres a way to change loadout depending on which front the map is on. Portraits are different depending on season, but loadout and front arent things that can be linked, I think. ... Uniform can changes so maybe weapon skins can also change? In: COH2 Balance

They will have their mp40s on a free upgrade (I suggested it take around 10 seconds - longer would lock them out for too long, and 5 wouldn't do enough to stop retreat wipes or sudden weapon team flanks). You guys can stop your arguments and go back to flaming the balance team for our decisions. quick edit: For the record, if it were up to me, infiltration commandos would have spawned in with rifles too instead of coming in at 3 man. I understand the argument that solutions and mechanics should be kept uniform where possible, but to me, spawning with rifles is much better than spawning at 3 men - so much so that I think it beats out the need for uniformity. If they spawn with 4 kars why not add a cost small cost for smg and reduce price. Or have them with 2 g43 + 2 kars. Also replacing mp40 with ppsh (maybe Thompson for west front maps) makes sense since the unit used enemy weapon in real life and it will also be easier for the play to understand that they have access to superior smgs (DPS should be tailor made for the unit).
