Could anyone verify how much damage they do (vs for example a panzerschreck?) Also, it's worth pointing out that two panzerschrecks will insta-kill a universal carrier, which limits their mid-game usefulness! Piat and Schreck do the same 120. Actually Piat does better damage on deflection... A U.C. has 200 HP so it can not be 1 shotted by a Schreck In: Guides

Thread: Redesigning USF Crews.12 Jan 2016, 13:43 PM USF crews are a nice addition adding flavor to the game but in my opinion they are currently problematic and see other the intended use. They made some sense when USF armor was considerably weaker but make less sense now that M4 is as cost efficient or more than a PZ4... With their repair critical ability they make AT snare weaker while being a cheaper counter to a more risky threat. Compared to the doctrinal OKW and soviet counter or the Churchill counter part they over perform. They allow vehicles transfer across players and factions giving even specialized vehicles to factions that normally have limited or no access to. They allow USF to bypass Pop limitations and upkeep penalties, especially for support units like AA guns or artillery. My suggestion would be: increase vehicle pop to 10-12. Crew with no vehicles can be refitted/removed from the map. Repair critical cost 50-60 MU and maybe take a bit more or removed completely for crews and be replaced with chance of surviving vehicle destruction at vet 1, combined with mechanism as described for "elite vehicle..". When disembarked player does not have direct control of the crew similar to SturmTiger realod, he can only order them to embark but vehicle either does not become neutral or it can only be crewed by enemy forces. "elite vehicles crew upgrade" gives a chance of crews to survive vehicle destruction with around half health. It also allows vehicle crew to merge into vehicles giving some experience (vet1? if they had achieved vet 1) to vehicle crew. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Churchill smoke does not work as intended...12 Jan 2016, 10:25 AM According to in-game description "infantry support smoke" should allow infantry to advance safely. According to editor Churchill smoke cloud should provide light (if I am reading correctly). In game it provides no cover bonus and infantry will still get easily pinned if fired upon by an HMG. The ability instead can be used to protect the Churchill instead if it reverses. My suggestion would be removed the sight block and provide light cover similar to commando grenade... Thread: Miragefla's December Balance Mod Additions9 Jan 2016, 08:41 AM Imo an alternative solution to a cheaper T4 and Brummbar that is worth trying is: Instead of reducing cost, change the units available from it. Imo the current issue with T4 is not simply the actual high cost of teching but the combination of high tech cost, high units cost available and highly specialized units... Having that said a I thing it worth trying leaving cost as is but moving Brumbar to t3 and Ostwind in T4. This will change the almost compulsory linear building order of Otheer allowing either to go T3 and still have access to a Soak damage/barrage support unit in the Brumbar or avoid building t3 and going for an Ostwind that can help until a Panther can be built... It will also make Brumbar (and probably Ostwind) more attractive since currently it see little usage. In: Modding and Tools
Thread: Resource Modification in CoH27 Jan 2016, 18:11 PM "The recent patch note: "German Supply Drop zone plane comes in from longest path so that you can shoot down the plane now" does not seem to be in effect, in terms of the flight path or vulnerability to the aircraft." As explained in the bug section that statement is not part of the actual patch notes but of the preview notes, so that part of the guide should be updated. If the changes had gone ahead as described it is highly probable, that would turn the ability useless, since opponent might miss the first plane but would know the path of the next planes and be able to shoot down all of them... other change my also be needed My suggestion would be to make cashes more vulnerable to indirect fire so that one can counter/destroy the cashes on the ground with actually having to sent troops to steal them. Imo if balance changes are made to these abilities one should consider the following: Early Warning, one has the other does not Number of planes one has increased RNG compared to other, more time to react. Flight path choice for player using it, one has the other does not Map related, one is more map related than other Cost: one has manpower=units or tech the other MU=abilities (and utility of ability is greatly from game size) Counters: Currently one can not be countered in the air the other can not be countered on the ground.
