If you opponent is spamming emplacement and you do not have enough firepower/tools to deal it leave them and fight elsewhere on the map. In: COH2 Gameplay

If you do not have the tools to do do not even attack the emplacement. The best tool against sim-city remain okw zeroing artillery, but one needs LOS. If one is able to pull a Wehrmacht "close the pocket" that should work also. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Faction design25 Aug 2017, 12:37 PM Since the next patch has been postpone it is a good opportunity to have a look at faction design. The reason why I suggest this is because it seem to me that many changes introduced in the latest patch try to balance units giving more weight to balance units then overall balance design. A good place for one to start would be to rate certain elements of each faction from 1 to 5 so that we can have a better picture of the current situation and then decide where the balance should be moved to. I will start with a few examples feel, free to rated them or suggest to add more: Doctrinal units (based on cost efficiency): 1) Mainline infantry 2) Engineer type units 3) Support weapons 4) Light vehicles 5) Light tanks 6) medium tanks 7) TDs 8) Premium tanks/heavy tanks call-in units: 9) Infantry 10)Light vehicles 11)Medium tanks 12)Heavy tanks 13)On map artillery 14) Off map abilities. If we tune Jackson to miss vs target-size 2 P4's, it's going to also miss vs target size 26 KTs. And, oh boy, it's also going to miss a lot vs target-size 13 Blitzking KTs. You don't need target tables to settle this. You just need target sizes that make sense. You should also check vet bonuses. Td should be getting penetration and not accuracy as a bonus. The problem exists when those units are on the field and allow no counterplay. If you can not counter them, you can not kill them. Hence, the discussion about ressources is completely out of place. You are assuming that there is no counter-play. If there was not counter play they would be equally problematic in 1vs1 or 2vs2 and they are not. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: FBP: M36 Jackson Discussion13 Aug 2017, 09:05 AM The real problem with large games is the inflated economy and the ability to instantly replace a Super heavy call in. The first can be fixed with reducing the turnover of cashes while also increasing the price. The second can be fixed by making the cooldown start when a Super heavy is destroyed and not from when it called in. In: COH2 Balance
