Thread: T34/85 or KV1 in Soviet Industry Commander? 7 Oct 2019, 12:27 PM Jump back to quoted post6 Oct 2019, 23:46 PMthedarkarmadillo so, ive been using the kv-2 the last day or 2 in team games and despite my always saying it should have a barrage.... the siege mode is REALLY good... the extra range it amazing when used with attack ground... i think its actually in a good spot, at least for team games edit something however i didnt use even once was the inspire ability. it doesnt really fit with its lock down mode, seems sorta off imo. its an alright tank in its normal mobile mode, but not really a "with infantry" kind of tank as the only times i moved it up was to engage mgs outside its lock down range that was hindering my infantry already. yeah the inspire ability would be better replaced with a stat boost for the unit itself. Imo this one will be needless nerf for the doctrine without any profits. One costs munitions the other is a passive ability granted to cons for free. Just trying to mix it up and 'balance' out the boost of giving the commander the T34/85 In: COH2 Balance

In a 3v3/4v4 I like to build enough for all my teammates so by the end it can add up to a fair amount. Swap fuel call in for recon or something else that supports the team. Swap repair vehicle for conscript repair. swap kv8 for T34/85. Most suitable build that comes to mind atm. In: COH2 Balance

You have fuel drops and pretty competent 85s plus heavy KVs a bit much. Fuel drops are irrelevant unless you plan to not upgrade penals, throw grenades, build repair stations or use self repair etc...or as soon as the first bit off aa comes out. I don't see how the T34/85 (which would be the best choice as the KV1 is still a bit poor imo) would make the commander OP. Considering there are commanders with elite infantry (guards motor) or a better heavy tank (armoured assault). The only thing this commander really has is repair stations and the KV2. The kv8 is available in much better doctrines but its alright. In: COH2 Balance

I could definitely see industry being the commander of choice for a revamp. I would a tank version of Ostruppen. In: COH2 Balance

Stormjäger Agreed, if doctrinal units get nerfed and the core army buffed, it would improve the faction. if the the T34/76's performance was tenable for anything above 1v1 then it would be a different matter. if this was regarding Ost/OKW/USF or even UKF then it wouldn't matter as they all have solid non-doctrinal tanks.
