Allies dont need much flanking they have superior AI to disrupt an AT gun line.
>Allies don't need flanking
Lmao. |
And no the ISU152 or KV2 is not a problem because most okw players learned to flank ages ago . perhaps you should do as well.
Okay, then why did you bring it up in the first place?
Regardless, part of the reason it's not a problem for you is because neither of these wipe squads for just even attempting to flank, and you also have access to Panthers which are arguably the best flanking TD next to comets. |
And how is this different when you put 2 at guns behind the back of a kv2? or isu152? or calliope? because i had to deal with this tactic for ages now. now the allies have to deal with something similar it suddenly is a problem?
KV2 and Calliope can not reliably wipe squads due to the random nature of their projectile. The current Sturmtiger is lie the old B4 with vet precision strike, except more broken because it's not like you recon+arty it (and even if someone was bad enough to get hit by arty it's not like the ST would die).
I can't believe you actually have problems with the ISU - sorry to say but you must be quite bad. It has a model wipe cap and slow reload that gives you ample time to retreat. I'm assuming you're playing 4v4, in which case, the sturmtiger is currently disrupting the more competitive modes of 1v1 and 2v2, and that's why it needs fixing. |
Ahh yes top 10 rank in 3v3 SOV among other things = garbo.
Guess I should quit the OKW 3v3 ladder then, I still get lectured basic OKW concepts lectured to me every now and then lol.
Team games are a terrible gage of skill. Your often facing play-once-a-year noobs and you can also get carried by better players pretty easily.
I really wish team game heroes would stop acting like their opinion in this game matters. |
Hardly. Right now it's just a beating of a dead horse. I highly doubt anything new will come. I remember playing vs Sander 2 weeks ago. Abused the sh** out of fussies and then when he lost he trash-talked and insulted his random teammate who was kinda bad, but nothing too bad. I'm quite sure they are sitting pretty on the imbalance they made and the focus will now go to the COH3.
I just hope that people like Sander (played with him 3 times, insulted and trash-talked each and every time his own, honestly, worse teammates) never go on the balance team of COH3 only to screw up the balance there in 5+ years.
Sander is a pretty garbo player, on top of being mouthy, and I honestly have no idea how he was even considered for work on the balance team. Does his dad's uncle's best friend work at Relic or something? |
Pretty much title. I understand CoH3 will probably make CoH2 obsolete, but I would hate to have the game's legacy tarnished by boring/broken Ostruppen spam and unrevised OKW and UKF issues.
Does the balance team still intend to make patches? |
Infantry blobbing and mainline spam don't need buffs or incentives.
MGs were indirectly nerfed by the significant improvements to mortar smoke and were buffed against frontal blob assaults, as it should be.
It wouldn't encourage blobbing, but rather give mgs proper punishment when flanked. |
I probably should have refrained from putting this in the balance section since this is an issue that faces all factions more or less, and it's rather just an annoying mechanic kind of like how sandbags were.
I've been doing some thinking and I appreciate how AT guns got a received accuracy nerf so they could be punished more readily when out of position. In light of this, I think adding a received accuracy penalty when MGs are not set up/on the move would be a sufficient change, since it punishes players for being caught out of position. |
Again, absolutely nothing changed, sandbags build few seconds longer, there is no hard cap of 3 per map or whatever you believe happened.
If there is not enough sandbags for you now, its because you are not building enough sandbags anymore.
The very point of the previous change was to make sandbags less widespread and it worked pretty well.
Anyway, I'm glad sandbags were made less readily available as it was an annoying mechanic, but I think it indirectly masked the issue of the potency of MGs on certain maps. You could say half of it is a map issue, but then the solution would be out of reach. |
Prior to the patch were you building sandbags and moving it in the HMG direction or what?
You deal with HMGs exactly the same way you did before, literally nothing changed here.
No, but having more access to green cover made it more viable to bait MGs with into shooting with infantry while flanking and not having said infantry be a useless, surpressed bleed during the process. |
