As an OKW player, if I see an AEC, I will simply move back a bit, equip all my volks with shreck, and immediately alpha strike it dead. It will also indicate that you delayed tanks, and the OKW player will push EVEN MORE aggressively as soon as your AEC dies if you had no AT guns.
I suggest snipers, mines and a supported AT gun. Those work well against a luch rush. If you have that doctrine, tank hunter Infantry section can also stop the Luchs from simply bum rushing.
Of course it would suck. The tanks were getting more armor and in Theater of War, the Panzergrenadiers were going up against T-34 hordes and the KV-1.
Then why suggest it considering OKW is the 1944 Western Front armies? Volksgren's chance of having that AT rifle is significantly lower than a Panzerfaust or Panzershreck.
Tricky thing vs Ostruppen, is you can hold your important house, but soon he will send his flamer engie, at which point you have to vacate the building, which then has his Ostruppen/MG inside.
I wonder if getting a wasp backed carefully by AT gun and engies would be viable solution?
And I still think using the base howies is a good way to deny houses.
Ostruppen can faust. And you bet he will take your AT gun.
So you need to micro well or you will lose WASP to 2 faust, then lose your AT gun to the oncoming blob when it sees you.
ah the fortification doctrine, when is relic fixing the ultra shitty zeroing artillery....??? just make it as good as it was at the wfa launch and maybe reduce the muni cost by 50.
Just give it something like the Brit's tact support arty.
37mm gun barrages infantry and light vehicles while 88mm and 128mm guns fire crippling volleys at enemy tanks. Give it same zone as the British one, but only allow it to be used within friendly sector.
