Thread: OKW vs. Brits 2v228 Jul 2020, 17:14 PM OKW 4v4/3v3 perspective here but the problems are not so different imho. Devolves into 1v1s or 2v2s in bits of the map. To save yourself suffering I just recommend Alt+F4. There is no situation in which your Volks can outshoot tommies in comparable cover stock for stock, squad for squad. Even SP ambushes are often turned against you due to that IS dps and 0.8 model size. No point going into detail about Vickers spam, I’m sure your psychological wounds speak enough. I could only suggest the OKW rushing ISG after their 4th inf squad, to punish them for excessive MGs and punishing them for lack of a mobile nondoc mortar. I concur that it’s a lousy matchup and having a UC dodge 3+ raketen shots is infuriating In: COH2 Gameplay

Vs Tommies volks will struggle but once a stuka hits the field you pretty much force your enemy into keeping his infantry spread out or risk losing it. UKF lacks decent rocket artillery so this plays heavily into the Tommy vs Volks dynamic later on. Just some food for thought. I agree with the rest of your post. Jagdpanzer IVs will eat fireflies 1v1 due to higher firerate and 4 hits for 4 hits for kills. In: COH2 Gameplay

There is no strong early game for OKW vs UKF. Between MGing off the field and IS just outshooting you, you'll get pushed away unless they make some major mistakes and/or ISGs hit the field. Panzerfusiliers are weaker than volks when stock, and the upgrade is more expensive meaning that they'll stay weaker for longer, but stronger after upgrading. I've had some success with using SPs as an ambusher unit near likely waypaths and on a good game can force retreat an MG, buying time. Under no circumstances do you rush 100% hp behind cover IS with SPs Rifles will get shot to pieces on approach if they rush a full hp volks behind sandbag, or in a long range shootout. Kubel is EXTREMELY micro intensive but can be extremely annoying as well if played carefully. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: AVRE vs SturmTiger 21 Jul 2020, 18:10 PM The recent buff to the Naw grenade launcher was welcome, but judging off its near absence from games.....the core profile of the unit is sorely lacking. I did not realise the AOE was so terrible until I read this thread, hmmmm. What is the justification for its forced reload button + slower movement whilst reloading + vulnerability to knocking out during reload now? Back when it was one shotting mediums these things made perfect sense but not any more. In: COH2 Balance

I've had it disappear on me before vs regular tanks (disappeared into thin air) though retreating right after it was launched might have bugged it. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Volks too weak19 Jul 2020, 16:34 PM They are more durable than Osttruppen and have better DPS but as blvckdream mentioned - just outclassed and with few support tools. As an OKW main I can only suggest to use your cover, sandbags (and buildings), rush that StG 44 upgrade to give you a window of firepower advantage/parity. That said, expect to lose green cover shootouts with IS unupgraded. In: COH2 Gameplay

Obviously don't pick them if the enemy team is bristling with AT and Jagdpzs....go fore Fireflies then. Churchill I find to suffer from massive repair times which diminish their usefulness.
