I don´t agree that ESL is only for Pro´s. I always join the tournament, not in the intention to win, but first of all to support the game and second to get better. I mostly win once and then get destroyed by some high level player. But that´s one of the best ways to learn. Watching your replay and analyzing what went so horrible wrong is sometimes embarrassing but always the right thing to improve.
But nonetheless were is something that could be done to encourage more players to play in ESL. Why not give every player who participate a decal or skin, something small but something that can show your participation ingame. Now way more player would have a reason to join ESL, and if its just for the decal, they maybe find out that it is a lot of fun, even if you have no chance to win, and stay. With more players there would be more competition for the mid-low level players and much more reasons to participate. So basically a win win situation. We had a Decal for OCF so why not for ESL? |

maybe reducing its range would be enough. If you have to drive really close to your opponent your extra armor is a bit negated and you can counter it easier. Right now Calliope can stay back and is safe from pushes with a puma or any other tank. If it has to move close to the enemy its more vulnerable, and so easier to counter. |

No fuel for teching up? ;o
If it didn´t went good in the early game and you can´t hold one fuel after t70 m20 or stuart is on the field you can call in an Ostwind to counter them and get back in the game. If you don´t have enough fuel for one truck + tank its a possibility to stay in the game and don´t loose it right away. Ostwind is much cheaper then for example mechanised + puma or schwere panzer hq + panzer 4. |

Scavenge is a really good comander because you have Jägers which are really strong at long range vs any Infantry, you can scavenge with more resources, you can call in an Ostwind wich can save your ass if you were crushed by any light vehicle and you only have the battlegroup up and no fuel for teching up. Also the grenades are really powerfull and cheap so you can spam them. And finally there is the arty which is expensife but anything else then bad. So scavenge is a really strong comander for Okw, I would consider it to call him one of the best. I really like to play with him in 1vs1. But if you want a more defensive playstyle fortification is better. |

thanks for your replies. Stormtroopers with stg are quite good. But with g43 I dont have that much success. As far as I know, the g43 is also a mid-close range weapon, same as stg, so whats the reason to upgrade it?
With the upgrade to stgs you also get tactical assault as an ability. But with g43 you get nothing, only advantage they are cheap. Another thing that I noticed, they have really high vet requirements, I hardly get them to vet 3, while all my grens are vet 3 for ages.
One build order I came up with, was to skip tier 2 and go with 2-3 stormtrooper, one with schrek to deal with early vehicles, build t3 and build 1-2 stugs. And if the game isn´t over yet call in Tiger Ace. It works quite well, not that much in 1vs1, because you dont have paks but really well in 2vs2 upwards.
So yea in combination with Elite troops doctrin stormtroopers are good, because you can´t spend ammo on abilities or of map artillery and can upgrade them with stg. And then you have a really nice assault squad, almost like commandos before nerf. |

just played it a bit, feels really good. One Idea I came up with:
Is it possible that dedicated Anti Air Units could have a Button, some as vehicle prioritise on most tanks only that it would prioritise planes. Because right now if the unit is in combat it wont shoot on the planes, or at least I can´t controll it.If its possible to introduce this feature, the player would have more controll and less RNG would be involved. |
