Volksgrenadiers just basically do american infantry's job better now that they get STG44s, they're better CQC and better at range, have better vet, snares after 1st HQ and must be literally molded out of dirt they are so cheap. US infantry just trade out worse in most scenarios if you ask me. Wait let me get this straight, you think bazookas are bad because they cut down on the AI damage output of riflemen? Do you understand the phrase "having your cake and eating it too? Also volks don't have better vet and don't do more far dps ( stg vs 1 bar ) than riflemen In: COH2 Balance

Do you walk your infantry to base too instead of retreating? The only gun that has a comparable survivability is soviet Zis due to bigger crew. I agree that 60 range ATG might be better though but I would say retreating and cloak kinda make up for that. Apart from the truth that reverse does increase an atgs maneuverability, Reverse and 60 range is better than retreat and 50 range. Yes Retreat is a positive, but low range counteracts it's Benifits. When an atg has 60 range it has plenary of time to micro away from any threats. Oh and that's in addition to the fact that the raken will retreat forwards before turning around. In: COH2 Balance

You also don't need to retreat when you have 60 range and can just reverse away from any advancing troops. Retreat also makes them easier to steal. Retreat also works by the crew moving closer to what it's running from before it turns around to run away. Also it's high ready time and it's fence post attracting projectiles. Someone correct me if I am wrong but the projectile will always hit objects if they are in the way. Oh and until hold fire while garrisoned is ever fixed, garrisoning a raken is kinda a noob trap. The later a game goes the Vet4/5 Volks are also pains in the ass to kill, their received accuracy is so good they are just crazy to try and take out in infantry battles, its why you see so many Pershings and M18Scots just to try and clear these bastards off the field. I don't know how people can get away with talking about balance issues when they are blatantly spout falsehoods. Volks don't have good received accuracy bonuses. In fact all other mainline infintry (save penials who have six men and 70% inc acc) have better received accuracy then they do. You see Pershings and scotts because they are hard to take out and don't bleed mp while in combat. In: COH2 Balance

Because getting a rak is a gamble on if SU actually goes t1, actually goes clown car (opposed to the strong Penals and Snipers) and it actually hits the clown car. If it's bought in reaction to a clown car, the car has plenty of time to do work before the rak actually gets into a position to get a shot off. Im not saying the above is imba, but the logic is that if there is a window of vulnerability vs the clown car, why is a similar window vs flame half track unbalanced? In: COH2 Balance
