About the grey areas and vague rules, I agree with all of you basically. But one thing is pretty certain: You cannot get banned just for copying a Steam name unless it's Relic Staff name. There needs to be additional abusive behavior, in a way so that the person is clearly attempting to damage the reputation of the name that they duplicated.


Now in Kimbo's case, only Relic knows the exact reason. But there is multiple possible scenarios, such as:

- playing arranged team with a seeking smurf while using Luvnest's name was interpreted as attempted reputation damage

- the whole player impersonation as reason was just a "placeholder" for a different reason such as playing with a cheater

- etc.

Ok so one of my assumptions might be wrong, cool. But it really doesn't matter. We're arguing about something that isn't the core of the topic.

Relic doesn't have to tell you the exact details about the ban. You were walking on thin ice when you decided to change your name while playing with Seeking, and you knew that. Not to mention that there might be ban-worthy incidents that we don't know about because it happened off-stream.

It's not our business, so what is even the point of this thread other than you throwing a tantrum *again* after being timebanned for what feels like the 3rd or 4th time now (congrats, that is quite an achievement Kimbo)

Now I am not responsible for the bans (and the person who is has NDA), so I am mostly restricted to my assumptions, but I am 95% confident they are accurate.

I am pretty sure that this ingame information about the ban is from a pool of pre-written texts that Relic can choose, and I think "playing with a banned cheater's smurf" is not available in that pool

This Luvnest impersonation was probably 5% of the reason for the ban, so they picked it. If it was even more than these 2 reasons, no idea. I would say "ask Relic" now but to my knowledge, a game developer is not forced to give you the exact reason(s) for a multiplayer suspension *shrug*

It's really funny that this is coming from you, because that were my thoughts when you decided to team up with a Seeking smurf and even stream it on Twitch. Then play victim afterwards and tunnel vision on the "player impersonation" as the only reason for the ban.

Wtf were you thinking was gonna happen, especially after what you saw in the Inca 4v4 cup two months ago. You are lucky if they don't ban you from Master League for a long time.

Penals AT package upgrade should start with AT satchel on cooldown.

One thing that it is very anoying in this game is the unit upgrades while fighting, but the penal upgrade is on other level of annoyment.

The situation: while you are persuing unupgraded penals with your vehicles, they get the upgrade, and boom, they snare your tank with their semi-nuclear satchel bomb coming out of nowhere.

Maybe this can be addressed on the next patch?

you can argue the exact same thing about conscripts, riflemen and volks.

But to be honest, I'm really struggling with USF in 2v2. Although it could be that my USF suck balls.

USF is almost unplayable in top 200 2v2 without pathfinders, but that is because of the current state of maps in that mode. Nearly all the good riflemen maps like Stadtschutt or Lierneux got patched out and replaced with super open lane maps such as Belgorod, Baku or Wolfheze where riflemen get bullied back to base by A-move LMG grens, volks blobs and Obers.


This trend of replacing urban and/or big sightblocker maps with open lane-camp stalefest maps is going on since years and now you all get the ingame results for it......

Riflemen rely purely on many sightblockers since their smoke nade got removed, and if the map doesn't offer it then they are shit tier garbage.

I would love to see one last map patch, there have been lots of good automatch worthy maps made since the last one. If possible just add more maps and more vetos so people can play what they want.

Yeah ideally one more map patch during 2022 before CoH 3 would be nice. Think the last one we got was in 2020, feels like ages ago at this point.

Unfortunately a big problem with this is that it seems like the "UI bug", also known as the "Vilshanka bug" where you lose the UI on units, is spreading onto more and more maps with every map patch, for no apparent reason at all. This is why it is kind of deemed too risky to make another map patch at this point.
