It's not the shreck but volks themselves. They get multiple accuracy bonuses with vet and even after the panzershreck long range accuracy nerf they still hit tanks fine from maximum range. You can't nerf the shreck without nerfing ostheer. Unless they do it like they did in COH 1 where panzer grenadiers and grenadiers had different panzershreck stats. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: OKW :Faction design Failure29 Oct 2015, 17:06 PM Playing OKW feels like your playing soviets with better tanks. There's nothing to their 'early game aggression' other than spamming volks getting a kubel and praying your opponent isn't smart enough to utilize suppression mechanics against you. Later on, getting an ober squad or two; You are just left with blobbing up or splitting and running around the map with quadruple shrecks or more trying to OHK enemy armor with them. If you really want to be competitive and win most of the time you have to go scavenge doctrine. It is literally the best commander OKW have bar none. That's why I was so disappointed with feursturm because the hetzer costs the same as the ostwind and I just feel the OKW ostwind performs much better. And there's just no elite infantry callins in that commander as well. Just not viable against any of the meta builds you are going to be put up against in a serious match. But yeah, it feels like OKW is just throwing as many men as you can in the grinder and having your forward retreat point close enough to the front. To keep running back and forth hoping to out attrition your enemy. No MG mechanics to use unless you go specific doctrines just makes them a bore to play compared to ostheer. Luckily 4v4's have their own litter wunderwaffe kids who enjoy OKW simply because they are that easy and linear to play with. Just attack move up the front, and they feel like their ubermensch as they collectively cream their pants in the service of the reich. Unfortunately, some people think they should take attention on those types of games in order to balance it around them and well... here we are. In: Lobby
Thread: Team games gameplay in worst state since launch29 Oct 2015, 16:51 PM Welp, with the churchill nerfed. I better get to abusing some comet broken WP shells that have the range of a jagdtiger to be fired from. They also vet up fast too, nasty bunch they are with a command tank which is giving them additional accuracy bonuses to their main guns against infantry as well. I wonder if instead of rushing centaur, rushing comet will be the new meta? They pretty much counter ost t3 by themselves and anything less than a panther won't be able to stand up to them. Relic in the mean time tells us in a long drawn out sentence there will be no optimization patch in the future and no one bats an eye. Like really? (makes ATG useless)29 Oct 2015, 01:30 AM I think the problem with german tanks is they do not reflect historical accuracy where panthers broke down 5 minutes after they left the krupp factories. To reflect this, we should've panthers be given a 50% chance of not entering the battlefield after having been purchased and built. Due to the fact it might have tilted at the wrong angle while on a road and got its engine set on fire. In: COH2 Balance

The Raketan is great and can retreat. The Puma and their early tanks are fantastic, etc. Every time I go mechanized instead of playing it safe and going battlegroup headquarters to flak truck horrible things happen to me I remember when puma was meta but I'll wait post patch to see how well it does against the centaur rush/company of flamer rifles and e8s. Thread: The real issues with UKF Armor. (makes ATG useless)28 Oct 2015, 20:23 PM Brit tanks are fine. Some vet requirements need tweaking but post patch I don't see any major problems with them. I have more problems with double brened up infantry sections which will show their nastiness with 28 mp reinforce cost after the 29th though. In: COH2 Balance
