Thread: AEC Armor Car Timing Nerf5 Feb 2016, 09:05 AM Thread nr 1000 about OP AEC Timing - yes Rest - no I manage to get AEC in less than 5 min (4:48 if i remember correctly) which made this unit the king on the field becouse there was no simple real counter to it. I know there fuel cost is compensated by MP but fuel is the main reason it hit the field so early. Should be delayed by at least 1,5 - 2 min and show up at same time as stuart and p2. People should be more prepared for this unit after that. In: COH2 Balance

The reasons are simple: The two base-factions (Wehr/Soviet) are the best designed by nature. These factions are the core of Coh2 and before the new factions were released they were actually balanced out quite well. The new factions all seem to lack something and are more specialized. You have less viable strategies it seems. Wehrmacht has a good and well rounded loadout. Support weapons, infantry, armor. The next question is: Why isn´t Soviets my favorite faction then? While they have the potential to be interesting, their gameplay is way too restricting. Every choice you make, blocks another option: Guards or Shock-troops? Good tanks or artillery? This isn´t as much fun. +1 In: COH2 Gameplay

People who talk about sight... well that's why I use vision blockers like buildings and trees. they always want to flank the pak, so I just predict the route/area he'll send his AEC. I actually let my pak shoot infantry just so he knows which way it's facing and bait him in the direction i want. You know if brit rushes AEC, he'll probably have only 3 infantry units at best assuming he has half the map. I'm sure OST is UP in 1v1 but its units are still good. Nobody said that ostheer lack of counters to light vehicules. Thing is that EVERY fraction has a shock units (m20, stuart, AEC, p2, t70, m5 etc) only ostheer doesn't. So we are basicly trying to find a solution to this. In: COH2 Balance

P3 better and kooler mang. IF there was a p3 there wouldn't be a single reason to get flame HT or 222. Plus p3 cost will be around 60 fuel + cost of tier2 and tech up so you still wouldn't have a real early counter to light vehicules. In: COH2 Balance

Paks can be easily flanked by infantry, it may get stolen etc. This thing: 1. adds mobility to ostheer army 2. can in some point chase light vehicules It's not like it should replace pak, it;s just more mobile early-mid counter to fast light vehicules.
