Sturmtigers firing through traditionally shot blockers, permanent sight and shot blockers, and buildings is an unfair advantage.
I understand it has a long range and that is fine, it is your role to detect it with recon units so you can avoid it. I just feel as if there is not a good counterplay to a sturmtiger firing through shot blockers such as forest that detonates any projectile that goes through it (including the AVRE's weapon.)
Usually being stationed behind a traditional shot blocker doesn't require a lot of movement, so it is quite possible to not be able to hear the Sturmtigers iconic engine through the fog of war.
I would just like their projectile to detonate like any others when they attempt to fire through heavy forest, and buildings etc.

I think it's balanced IMO. 45 fuel and 300+ manpower delays tech, so the best counter would be a anti infantry vehicle such as ostwind because you don't need to worry about cromwells. Also its set up and tear down time are also effects that make it worth its price, it take awhile to set up.

Ass Arty is a fine example here, because it is indeed balanced, not as you say.
It takes awhile for the arty to begin touching down, and the arty and smoke only hit the TERRITORY POINT, not the entire sector, so it's predictable and can be avoided altogether. IT's also 200 munitions so that barrage and smoke is worth it.

I think AEC spam is just quite reliable. I'm going to say 23 brit players, but it's important to know they have to play Axis as well in the higher brackets.

But how do we balance it correctly? Relic saw that it was under performing because they decided to buff it, apparently (although I have always used it and thought it to be fine?).
I have a solution or two in mind, but I would like to see what the community prefers.
With its range, it has clearly been overbuffed, it has a cost of 340/50 when a Puma is 320/70. They have similar roles, but the puma is more of a scout and has greater firing and sight range, as well as maneuverability and speed. These traits do not make up for the disparity between costs of the AEC and Puma.
It's difficult to play axis 1v1 now, but I have found that being able to destroy a AEC is not a big impact on the game, as they are spammable and cheap. I also take advantage of the AEC's low price whenever I play british. If we were to keep the current stats on the AEC, I think the best price for it would be 340/75 from 340/50 to GREATLY reduce its spammability and punish the user more for losing it.
