The Rak is pretty bad at high level play but the MG34, Puma, and Flak HT are arguably top tier. On the other hand Sturms are garbage past 5 minutes, Volks don't scale, and Obers have low field presence. Really all OKW play seems to rely on waiting for the PIV J, the PIV J carries the faction when it arrives. There is a major contradiction here. lv´s and support weapons are underrated but the p4 carriers the faction? so why not use the lv´s or support weapons? the okw LV´s do not fit. All allied faction have access to a light tank that can easily push the luchs/flak ht back with no impact and a lot of fuel wasted. if you go for a puma then you can beat the aec/stuart/t70 but then need to mothball it until the allied medium tanks arrive. all the while the allies gain infantry superiority because you have no obers. As for the mg34. It works as a suppressor but not as a damage dealer or lv killer. the leigh is just worse than a regular mortar. and the tanks selection of the okw is just inferior compared to the ostheers. And this is true: SP , obers and vg are stronger than the ostheer´s grens by a large margin. But at the same time OKW support weapons and light vehicle selection are absolutely shit. So okw players play by their only strength: stall to obers and p4 rush at higher levels of play support weapons really make a difference. and at those levels you really see the okw struggling. I thought the buff looked so strong in the patch notes The problem why the g43 upgrade is rarely seen is because the soviets and the Americans excel at short range fighting. Even with g43´s you are going to lose against these factions in a pitched battle. Now there are maps that that favor close range combat instead of long range combat and at this point you should be using the g43´s over the LMG. But the traditional advantage of the ostheer has always been long range. In: COH2 Gameplay

People used the same argument, because it was reality. Couple of people didn't wanted to accept the reality, but that didn't changed reality, they were just that much more salty on the long run. But have a far worse flame nade less healing options and no ai upgrade. Imo volks are not meant to be the same main line as what other factions get. They have much stronger elite obers stock after them. There is where okw should be buffed. Imo @pip made some good or even excelent point on how to this. You know this is the same argument that people used in CoH 1 when talking about volks to grens. It didnt work back then. By the time you get obers you liklely invested minutes worth in mp xp and ammo in them. At the moment the ostheer grens will do a better job In: COH2 Balance

If you need jaeger to counter TDs then you should improve your game. Ele is the easiest, no effort counter, true, but not the only one. It has more to with the map. On maps that are basically long range shooting galleries with little to no room for flanking like minsk pocket you will lose without jeager. In: COH2 Balance
