Thread: ESL - Only for Pro's?2 Feb 2016, 14:04 PM I have 2000 hours in this game and i spent the majority of it watching live games and not playing , and i must say it's really entertaining watching top players play. However the skill gap between top 10 players and top 50 players is really big . Matchups of that kind are really boring to watch and players hardly put up a fight. It would be nice to have leagues for different skills but with the current playerbase it's impossible to do so. In: Lobby

Thread: The Hard Talk: Community Contributors2 Feb 2016, 02:24 AM I've been a part of this community for almost 2 years now and i couldn't help but notice a certain dynamic in place: On 1 side we have Relic,a lazy developer who has lots of great ideas and the means to implemet them but not the will and on the other side a fanatically dedicated fanbase and community who are willing to do a lot just cuz they love this game . The community's dedication is what made this game where it is now and this is something not to be taken for granted, just head over to paradox forums and witness how much the devs are willing to interact with their community . The official coh2 forums were a mess, and offered little help and staff members used to copy paste generic answers ( true story). I dont know who ipkaifung is but i can tell from ppl's comments that he's a highly respectable member of the community , but the sad truth is that he will never be recognized for his work simply cuz he , and others like him happened at a too early stage of the game's cycle . Let me put it this way, if it weren't for his and other ppl's work, guys like A_E and Stormless would have never had the chance to cast the ESL cups ( even though for free) , and Stormless and A_E 's current ventures will allow others to maybe make money out of casting this game in the futurre. To be fair though , this ESL buisness is really nice , the game is getting more and more popular and we have Relic to thank for that . PS:Before defending relic being not lazy , think of the searching sound bug that's still kickin' since launch . In: News

However i still struggle with okw , whenever i go t2 first i find myself pretty late in the actual tank fight later on , and if i skip t2 into t3 i go and lose map control and start bleeding vps. Rather than what you "feel" is true. Rifles received acc at vet 3: .59 Volks at vet 5: .81 Conscripts at vet 3: .65 Volks are far less resilient as vet 5 than to vet 3 rifles and conscripts. Riflemen have much higher close-mid dps and marginally better long range dps than volk squads. Compound that with dual equipping lmg or bars and its not uncommon to see a vet 3 rifle squad beat the shit out of a volk squad with no model losses. https://www.coh2.org/guides/29892/the-company-of-heroes-2-veterancy-guide#1238 I'm pretty sure a unit's performance goes beyond received accuracy , i don't know the exact stats , i don't know where to look em up as well, if u can provide em that'd be great. Or maybe we can get one of the startegists opinions on this matter. Anw volks are op cuz they are cheap, spammable versatile and tough. Add to that a frp and u'll have enough to make a perfect blob . They are an even match to cons in early game and way superior at vet 5 to vet 3 cons . They are also better than riflemen when they are at vet 5 , unless u have LMG upgrade on ur riflemen in which case they slightly lose . In: COH2 Balance

Meaning it requires 6 hits to kill. And thats only if all the shots hit. Pgrens get double shreks but they become almost useless against infantry , i've never seen anyone complain about them being op though Volks on the other hand ...... In: COH2 Balance

When the allied infantry comes just retreat, since retreating squads recieve less damage and accuracy. Repeat this and you will win late game axis. yeah cuz that is 8 shreks , makes perfect sense . But anw 4 Pgrens cost 1360 MP so not exactly an expandable sum of mp especially late game . and with the 480 muni u'll be spending on them u can literally spam mines or use a lot of abilities to do something else. U can kite them with shermans , use callies or katys or any sort of indirect fire and u'll be fine. Regardless , They do need some sort of nerf. In: COH2 Balance
