Thread: Commander Update Beta 2021 - Soviet Feedback21 Apr 2021, 02:36 AM Agree about the mc4, the t34 85 is a better choice and available in better commanders (not saying lend lease is bad). The standard Sherman's ap round has really good pen (close pen equals the 76mms), hvap isn't worth alone for the tank it's better to get a td and a cheap t34 or Sherman that can fill both Ai at roles just fine. Also think the is2 vet should be abit Lower (possibly around the kv2s?). It's still quite higher than the others by almost 500xp. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Hull Down Panther new best TD?15 Apr 2021, 06:37 AM I have used hull down a few times and I am worried about its power on lane type maps. Not needing infantry to hull down vehicles is a huge buff and prevents a bug from happening (which I'm sure nobody knew about). This was needed and will see use in the future even if it takes some time for the bonuses to kick in. It's for defence after all. But there is is no tear down time at all. If you see danger coming, you can immediately exit hull down and move. This largely mitigates its disadvantage of being stationary. Likewise if it did have a tear down, you would probably end up like the kv2 siege mode on the heavier vehicles. Edit: for those who dont know, its 25% dr not 25% armor. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Commander Update Beta 2021 - Soviet Feedback10 Apr 2021, 07:20 AM I dont agree with the B4s direct fire damage only being 400. It does less damage than the avre. Its difficult to use as you not only obviously need it pointing towards the direction of the vehicle, but you also cant have anything higher than a picket fence or shrub higher than your waist in the way to fire. I would adjust it to 480 dmg then at-lease mediums would require a at gun shot to finish off and maybe not share cool down with the normal barrage. Right now its just one word, disappointing. Also range dosnt increase at vet 3 still on the ability, its in its vet but dosnt apply. In: COH2 Balance

T1 + Conscripts or mixing Penals and Conscripts might not be incredibly strong but it is a very unique play style that the commander pushes. I think it doesn’t need a rework but could benefit from exchanging the ML20 for something else. The artillery doesn’t fit the best in this infantry based doctrine and doesn’t contribute much to the commander unless your just looming for artillery in team games. Some sort of late game call in like an artillery strike, a buff like for the motherland, or even maybe something crazy like the IS2 could probably be a good improvement to the doctrine and make sure this unique play style has the best chance to see some use. I too think reserve army would be a very decent commander with a Is2 instead of the ml20 and I'm sure loads of people would love a third is2 commander. On the other hand the new ml20 is also better and more focus for supporting infantry and I don't want to dwindle the ml20 any further. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Commander Update Beta 2021 - OKW Feedback7 Apr 2021, 07:00 AM I know the commander is a meme in 1v1 but I'm slightly on edge about the number of improvements the fortification commander for larger game modes. . Improved for the fatherland . Field defences and fortification in one ( + buff to flaks) . Buffed pak 43 . Lefh . Lower cost for zero artillery. Again, this could be potentially to potent for team games. Any further improvements will need to be heavily monitored and already may be too much. In: COH2 Balance

Instead of giving them a straight dmg boost give them a grenade instead. Due to soviets lacking any stock grenades ( literately none), I think this would be enough incentive to upgrade cons with ppshs. In: COH2 Balance

What sticks out like a sore thumb is the combined arms nerf (course by mech co no doubt). Some usf tanks suffer from wind down/up such as the jackson and pershing resulting into not getting their true reload bonus. 15% reload would translate into little value and in my perspective is a nerf to heavy calv. On that note I assume it will track the vehicle than target the ground, also its vet 3 range dosnt apply. I feel the is2 needs something more than a well overdue vet decrease.
