To people complaining that it already deals with medium armour and doesn't need a buff - This will not change the performance of the gun vs medium armour - it already pen's med armour well. It just needs a buff against heavy armour, that's all this change would affect. USF has to rely on Jacksons, with less health than a stug, to tackle late game. They need another option - no debate - as lategame the USF combined arms faction has only one arm. In: COH2 Balance

Repair critical allows higher survival chance if fausted/mined; and the presence of REs and vehicle crews means USF tanks can get back into the fight faster than other all other factions except maybe OKW. (But USF has numbers.) Decrewing USF tanks saves popcap and increased income, too. So, figure that for all the bonuses above + the power of properly used and equipped Riflemen throughout the match, USF tanks don't require extensive durability because they have other strengths that represent the United States logistical and tactical superiority during the later stages of WWII, and also to encourage a unique micro-oriented playstyle. I wouldn't bring those stats into it, the whole argument around blitz/panzer smoke/Twp/spotting scopes/crit repair is a bit too complicated to relate directly to unit survivability discussion. I'd say they all work out roughly equal It's just a discussion about increasing investment to increase reward. Spend more resources on a tank - get a better tank, is this fair? I'd say yes if priced properly. Would it be giving USF an unfair upgrade advantage? I'd say not as Ost and okw get armoured skirts. Make the investment/utility of the upgrade give the player a reasonably balanced choice, and we'd probably see an even ratio of up armoured USF vehicles to skirted axis vehicles. Most importantly does a problem exist at all, and does this fix it? I'd argue that in some games yes, the sherm's durability is a problem, but only the Sherman. Giving it the ability to take one more hit in the late game would be nice, and I'd be OK with paying a premium for it. In: COH2 Gameplay

Ami´s cast, that are half to game and half about houses , nice trees , lake , nice glider falling down , dongs to tiger etc. and the guy will say hey , this game looks awesome , its from ww2 , its strategy game and have PERFECT graphics i must buy it. This. I managed to convince a couple of friends to watch the finals who have no real interest in Coh2 beyond "what game are you in, why aren't you playing CS:Go with us?" I gave them the link saying it was the BIGGEST COH2 TOURNEY EVER GET HYPE and they didn't seem too interested, had it playing in the background whilst playing other games. Then the Final Final Best of 5 started, Ami returned, and one says "Oh I like this guy, he's got the hype." Through the finals they were deffo taking more of an interest and actually asking me some questions. OCF was as much about showcasing CoH2 to a wider audience as it was about running a professional tourney. Ami was definitely the right person in that respect. As a more experienced player I liked the play by plays, and if you're someone who gets involved with the community and watches Ami a lot you probably pick up on his faults more often. But as someone dipping in just for the finals the CoHmunity has nobody better. In: Lobby

Thread: Is the AVRE OP or do I just think it's OP because...11 Sep 2015, 09:46 AM I'd like both the sturmtiger and the avre to have a range of half that of a standard tank. If we have to have wipe machines like that in game then make them true shotguns - have to really use their armour and HP pool to get up close enough to be effective. Won't change their role against static and slow moving targets, but it could help their mobile counters have an easier time In: COH2 Balance

Of course it works good after upgrades and withdraws. But the problem is... the cost inefficiency. MP wise and muni wise. And the whole doctrine itself is gimmick. Please look at the conversations for more details. From looking through the convo it looks like it boils down to you wanting an infiltration shock unit. Your chosen candidate is storms, and you want them changed to fill this role, citing partisan AI power as justification. You're ignoring the core purpose of storms or how they fit into their doctrine as a whole. Seems you want the commander bent to fulfil your personal requirements, which centre around storms, with the rest as a 'nice to have,' as the rest of it is too "gimmicky" (read: hard) to use. Isn't gonna happen. If you want partisans then play soviets. If you want a clever, long-term strategic planning unit play Ost with encirclement. In: COH2 Balance
