Really, Incen would be just perfect if on Sturmpioneers. Gives SPs a bit of a boost like people tend to want on them, strongly reduces the possibility for Incens catching you by surprise unless your opponent spams SPs (which is, of course, just lolz to even consider) while more than one battle is happening on the map which is the only real issue with them now since the range and quick animations are making Incen proliferation a bit too easy to pull off. The grenade itself is otherwise fine, just a bit too easy to re-enact Script Molotov spam OKW-style on its current unit with its good points over the Molly. ...also I kinda miss Model 24s (which I still think should be buffed a bit). So even a 3% reduction of say 1 second per cool down x4 cool downs is better than a 5% reduction per reload x1 reload. Or am I seeing this incorrectly? Well, there's also the consideration of the "aim" times and windup (don't think small arms have this stat though)/winddown times of the weapons competing with what the shooter does when not firing in addition to their cooldown, while reload will simply reduce reload time straight up. It would be nice if OKW medics could at least not collide with objects so they didn't constantly get stuck or just move real slow The unique fuel cost for the faction to get any healing arguably justifies the performance, though. But yeah, the change to set-down healing made it baller as hell. Easily worth the 10 fuel. Pretty much all the medics suffer from that greatly (USF medics being controllable are the worst, I've long since abandoned taking them out to leave at base with how often they just won't FUCKING HEAL while standing around doing nothing), the bug where you can see the healing icon above their target flicker as they attempt to heal but just can't from getting stuck has been happening since vanilla beta though fortunately is easily fixed by moving just a little bit. They'd all be much better standing around auto-healing anyone in a range, but they're all obviously balanced around being only able to heal a model per medic at a time. I'm assuming Relic's disinterested in doing that to keep USF Amberlamps and UKF medic upgrade special (and I suppose have an additional pop cost to them, though UKF's is with a unit you start with). Oh, good point actually since Retreat Point is pretty hefty, pretty sure it was 300. USF's is probably arguably more cost-effective too since it gets a tier with its retreat point, though inversely the healing alone is more cost-effective on OKW since they get that with a tier (yet of course, old USF bleed was pretty obviously worse...dis stuff is too complex for me). I thought it also had to do at least a little with how OKW's full tech costs 600 MP, when it'll take 60 more than that MP for Soviets to get all HQ upgrades and their first tier (for 'Muricans, 100 more than that with both upgrades and T1+T2, UKF 20 less than that for all HQ upgrades and first tier, 140 more for Wehr T1+2+3 and the battle phases necessary for those). Thread: Refining USF Design30 Sep 2015, 00:26 AM Jump back to quoted post30 Sep 2015, 00:01 AMMr. Someguy I always wanted an upgrade to make the M20 a radio car that could call in free off-map air strikes, functionally like a Panzerwerfer but not firing it's own weapons. The problem with that though is that compared to the Panzerwerfer it costs a lot less fuel, and unit upgrades tend to be munitions rather than fuel. Always did think it'd be neat to give it better "scaling" by having act more as a command vehicle like it generally was used for. BUT LET'S START BY MAKING MAJOR'S NON-FREE ABILITIES GOOD. Would really help the guys trying to shoot down a rushed Puma with bazookas. Would also really give Axis players a second thought into trying to rush their Panzer4 against your AT gun or Jackson. It'll cost munitions and also could be a vet1 ability, so if you're desperate for a good AT support you can try the veteran vehicle switcheroo. I totally can't see this working out too well. 1. It is an ability that requires a unit to stand still, and that is likely suicidal for a light vehicle to hope to maintain. It is currently already a difficult and unlikely ability to pull off for long on Guards - I'd only imagine starting it would be easier on M20s, but making it last any appreciable time would be nigh impossible in any remotely large battle. 1. A few machine-gunners and riflemen pinning down a tank is already sorta silly, but one machine-gunner on a vehicle would be the height of silliness. In: COH2 Balance
