Thread: How to prevent blobs26 Mar 2015, 05:45 AM I don't think we should shift abilities around in general. Just add a received accuracy modifier for bunched up units. Starting with like 3 units on top of each other = 7,5% received accuracy, 4 = 10,00%, 5 = 12,5%. This would not nerf the units themself, which would throw out the current "balance", but the blob itself. And it applies to all factions equally. Using 7 Infantry squads at once isnt inheritently bad, but they need to be microed. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Paratrooper Thompson24 Mar 2015, 07:32 AM I dont know why people are always bringing up shocks. I think they are broken due to the fact they do have a high modelcount,armour and smoke. I'd be totally fine if they had two of these traits. Likewise I would like to have two of these traits for evey close combat unit to help them scaling better into lategame and be much more potent in early/mid game. LMGs damage is far too high in any event (on the other hand it is for axis the only choice. The 4 man squads for CQC squads is nuts and not having armour and high reinforcement costs further punishes the use of axis CQC infantry.) If LMG damage is brought in line I suppose cqc squads are getting viable again. I forsee though that shocks need to loose their armour then. There is currently no real counter short of a Ostwind or Panzer IV to shocks since HMGs get smoked and other medium/shortrange infantry dies quickly to them. In: Lobby

Let me get this straight - I will bring up all "OP"-claims I have read in approximately 3 months. Stumrpioniere: OP because massive DPS (only viable in early) Volksgrenadiere: Op because Panzerschreck (still worst basic infantry weak weak early and if wiped in late game replacement is a more hitting blow) Kubel: Op because so fast and not counterable.(and melts in the face if a 2+ rifles with bars) Flak-HT: OP because suppresses (Assloader US HT anyone?) Puma: OP because outranges everyone(I am sorry wat? If not babysitted all the time its dead in seconds.. About range lets have a talk about a 240dmg alpha jackson....) Stuka: OP because creeping barrage(its expensive and literally a hit and miss unit) Luchs: OP because rushed its so OP(1 AT gun shuts it down in the perimeter) Obers: Op because sniping hmgs(a bit strong I agree - yet the only MP choice for OKW to get rid of maxim spam) Panther: OP because its so fast(expensive) King Tiger: OP because unkillable(retardly expensive and ask a wehr player without ferdi how he feels about IS2) and now Command Panther? lol So to sum this up players think only Puppchen, JpZ4 leig 18 and IR HT are fine. basically these are 4 shit units (JPZ4 is good on paper but ingame its often lackluster and against 2 tanks its dead for a whopping 135f rarely viable) I dont trust much in relic but whoa, I am glad they are in charge instead of the playerbase. smh In: COH2 Balance

In all honesty, it's easier to kill tanks when they can barely move that once they're marked. Demos can easily wipe blobs. Plant them at choke points (i.e river crossings, the center VP, you get the idea). And put a mine on top of it. the mine will set off the demo. The only "downside" is it will get triggered by tanks too, but then again it will do a lot of damage. In: Strategy Desk
