Yes, you can't just sit it there and let it unload on squads. You can bait these squads into a single MG, you can fight from beyond snare range, or punish them if they commit too hard. Its not exactly a slow unit. It's no cure all, but its more useful than the stuart which can be snared just as easily. And the Rak is great, it just functions so differently from other AT guns. The cloak is wicked useful, its cheap, and its the damn HQ. In: OKW Strategies

Good luck against Cons, Rifles, and Sections without the MG42.. Yeah I don't think anyone is suggesting it be seriously delayed. I just think it should cost more than the maxim. Maxim might be better at some things, but the MG42 is definitively better at the job of an MG. Blatantly faster suppression and wider arc. To me that's far more valuable in the early game when you're trying to establish some map control. In: COH2 Balance

It has no business costing the same as the maxim which is both inferior in performance and locked behind tech. I think all the MGs are in a good performance spot, but the 42 should be 280mp like the Vickers and .50 In: COH2 Balance
