Is this happening outside of the mod? Are you overriding any skin packs for those entities? This is impossible. I never even touched anything in the game's files, let alone do anything before loading the mod. How is it even possible for no textures to be associated with when I never deleted anything? The only other thing I can think of would be to use SCAR. Exactly. It is not well-documented. It might even be hard-coded, since the materials list is empty. Weeeew. Unless you mean deploy AT a certain point/entity? Well, for my case, the engineer squad builds a structure, and upon construction (so that's on_construction_actions), a few squads will spawn from map entry. The squads will move to the Main HQ rally flag, but what I need is the squads to move to the constructed building instead. You will have to figure that one out. The only related thing I could find was "must_be_on" in the construction_ext of the Observation Post. Read the description for that. "If set, this entity can only be built on the terrain materials listed in that section. If not set, this entity can NOT be built on the terrain materials listed in that section." Where's this "section"? I can't find it. Yes, under ui_ext look for skin_pack_override. Set that to true and then set both skin_winter and skin_summer to "winter". Awesome, thanks! Thread: How do I (two questions in thread)?18 Sep 2015, 13:02 PM (Hi. Originally I had posted these two questions in another forum, two weeks ago. But I didn't get any assistance.) So what I'm trying to do now is to - make reinforcements_action deploy to a certain point/entity make observation posts buildable on munition and fuel points I'm still trying, with no real progress nor luck. May anyone please guide me through these? EDIT: Sorry about this, but I would like to get help on another one as well (so now it's three questions). Is it possible to use a certain variation in an entity model? What I'm looking at is the East German Pioneer Winter Skin whenever a player plays a winter map. Is it possible to have an entity use this variation for both summer and winter maps? And how do I do that? In: Modding and Tools
Thread: Burn.exe failed with exit code -1073741819.18 Sep 2015, 12:47 PM Right so I've been away for a few hours mainly because of a heavy Windows Update. All of a sudden the Tools built the mod without any errors. I guess the Tools required some files from a Windows version which I didn't update until now. Anyway, thanks for the help! I'll get back to you with the results. No good results. Also, something strange. I tried creating a new mod to test and when I click build, an error immediately pops out, E:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Company of Heroes 2\Archive.exe failed with exit code -1073741819. Error copying C:\Users\Conti\Desktop\TestMod\testmod.sga: Could not find file 'C:\Users\Conti\Desktop\TestMod\testmod.sga'. So besides the burn error, now I have an Archive error, and the tools are not making .sga's for my mod. What is even happening... (Why are these "never before seen" issues always happening to me..? Perhaps make a new thread about it? It built fine for me. However, be aware that you cannot have ( ) in the filenames of icons. I am not sure what to say, other than search older posts in this forum to see if others had a similar error. If that does not help, the only thing I can suggest is sending me the mod, so that I can take a look and see if it builds for me. There is nothing we can troubleshoot from errors like that, because we did not make the tools. I have sent you a download link to download my mod in a .zip. Hoping for the best In: Modding and Tools
