Thread: Company of Blobs, if you only solo, dont read12 Jan 2015, 23:25 PM I see. Well if you leave your opponent/s that much time and space what else would you expect when facing OKW? In the case of: (1v1) Probably should have shut your opponent down earlier. (2v2) Split answer between above and below. (3v3) Its a 3v3 your gonna face a blob of a combination of different players forces no matter what you do. (4v4) It gets worse, your gonna face an even larger blob of the same thing as above. This basically changes nothing. The words 'strategy game' basically go out the window once you go past 2v2. Blobbing is a hard thing discuss unless we are talking about specifics ie. 1v1, 2v2 etc. 1v1 and 2v2 were obviously the primary focus of what I wrote. In: COH2 Gameplay

And if you'd read my post correctly I spoke purely in terms of their early game, infantry vs infantry line ups and mention nothing about armor. You therefore missed my point completely making your argument quite badly misplaced. I don't disagree, they do vet well against armor, but that is a completely different kettle of fish than what I was discussing. In: COH2 Gameplay

Is that they can't kill a kubel with a flanked quad of either cons or rifles....WTF? That in the first few minutes of the game volks are gonna vet from shooting at armor W.T.F?? And that in the early minutes of the game they are gonna run around blobbing while capturing ONE single point at a time W...T...F? And that if the have say a pair of cons or say Re and rifle come across a single volks squad, the volks will have it over them...just OMG WTF? Some of you guys must be like CHARGE!!! Well I've got: COMMON Blitzkrieg Festung Armor Festung Support German Infantry German Mechanized UNCOMMON Joint Operations RARE Elite troops Mechanized Assault Mobile Defense I obviously can't tell you if I have more or less than what players had when they started but there's my complete list of OST commanders. Including got the ones from buying TOW's and I've no idea which ones I got from warspoils as opposed to which ones were already available to me. In: Lobby

So I ask why in the world would you let a game vs OKW go for long enough that they can get a vet 5 blob in the first place? OKW have an extremely weak early game. Non vetted Volks can be squad wiped easily by basically anything. Failing that inflict as many casualties as you can. Follow up with AT grens, flamers or even better an early ATG to destroy the first truck they place. (this is assuming they do so outside of base sector). And you have basically won already. Now many people are going to argue this point with me and that is fine everyone has a right to an opinion. All I ask is that you try it before arguing that I am wrong. And always remember, against a skilled OKW player the battle is won for and against them in the early game, if your opponent is skilled enough to survive, they become much like a tidal wave.
