I honestly see most of the units you've mentioned pretty regularly, with the exception of Footguards and the Wehr Flak 30 AA Team... It just sounds a lot like you just don't really play the game to be honest. All of the other stuff you mention is probably down to personal taste, I think there's quite a bit of room for build variety, especially when you consider the extremely limited number of battlegroups that are available currently. I do share your concerns on the number of global upgrades though and a certain 'lack of feel'. It's difficult to describe, almost as if units feel a little bit weightless, for want of a better term. In its current state, Company of Heroes 2 allows for a wide variety of units that can actually be a part of a winning strategy - Company of Heroes 3 has factions that are bloated with units that never see the light of day. You've said this before, but could you be more specific? Why is it far more dynamic and interesting? Because units die faster in the early game? You think its higher risk? Which factions in 3 have units that will never see the light of day? That's quite a prediction, they're bound to recieve all sort of tweaks and changes if the game continues to be patched and updated, just like 2. The point about 2 'in it's current state' allowing for a wide variety of units that can be a part of a winning strategy is also a bit of a headscratcher... The meta is very stale and had been stale for a long time. In: COH3 Central

Edit: To be fair, their snare was removed back before MGs were uberbuffed. Maybe now it's not so shrimple. Yeah pretty much anything wielding a flamethrower can frontally decrew an MG if it's allowed to get close enough, and they have two of them. So its hardly surprising. Before their recent buff they weren't even the strongest CQC squad in the game, they would consistently lose to thompson Gurkhas. I haven't tested the matchup since that last buff to their SMG's though, so that might have changed. I really miss the buggy satchel, but I think they're fine. They are incredibly expensive and blobs of BAR rifleman quickly whittle them down just like do to everything else. In: COH3 Central

Even if you instantly retreat your MG\start moving AT guns the second you see flares, they still will be hit. Yeah it is very difficult to react in time with support weapons at the moment, it feels like they get fried before you even have a chance to move them. In: COH3 Central

Relic has already hotfixed this patch once, and they said another one is coming to fix more performance issues... Up until the most recent patch, has performance really been that bad though?
