Thread: COH2 Modding: Getting started with the official tools28 Nov 2014, 19:44 PM I've been trying to make a mod that removes all commanders to give players a more level playing field in matches. I found the scar function UI_SetAbilityCardVisibility(false) but it only seems to hide the abilities. They are still activated, and the commander portraits still appear at the start. Anyone have an idea what to do? In: Guides
Thread: Disabling Blizzards15 Nov 2014, 19:03 PM Maybe instead you can change the effects of blizzards ( no cold, no vision reduction ), and still have them appear. In the attribute editor there's an entry for blizzard_effect in the abilities category. In it you can see the changes that happen during the game, including the mortar/artillery scatter size, etc. In: Modding and Tools
Thread: Unrealistic sound effects?15 Nov 2014, 18:49 PM OP, here's the thing. What you hear in most movies is the exaggerated sound of combat. In real life these sound have more of a "pang" to them rather than an ominous rumble like in the movies. I think COH2 made a good effort in recording actual weapons and how they sound, without overly "enhancing" them to cinematic levels. Now, regarding the voice-overs, whoever cast those actors needs to be fired. In: Lobby
