Brummbar is actually a really useful tank! I've detailed one of it's uses here.
Let's say, for instance, you're playing a 2v2 and one guy drops from the start. The other guy decides to play on despite the odds.
In that case, the only build you can use to fight the computer is:
1. T2
2. Flamer HT
3. Brummbar
Remember to build lots of muni and fuel OPs to support this.
