So not much has changed. If it can do it with vet, it should be immobile while reloading so that you risk losing it, and the veterancy. Or just add the "tank shot decrews reloading ST" I have played the AVRE a lot recently and, while the AVRE is pretty good, the enemy can always spot it coming, and will know what is up. Which is why it is hard to replicate what the sturmtiger does, it is pretty easy to mitigate/avoid the death cannon if you can see it in front of you. issue is when its the sturmtiger and can blow you out of the water, or even over cover. I'm more annoyed that the sturmtiger can be made with a king tiger, try diving both of those things at the same time... In: Lobby

I like HMG34, despite people hating on it a lot. In 2v2 I built it every game. If I put all HMGs in descending orders my picks would be HMG42, DShKa, HMG34, .50cal, Vickers and the last would be Maxim for sure. The first two are excellent, 34 and .50 are good, Vickers is OK and Maxim is meh. The DSHK better be good considering that one pays 300 manpower for it yet it is comparable at best with the mg-42, which is 40 manpower cheaper. I think that both the Dshk and maxim would benefit from a larger firing arc, both can be pretty easily flanked without even flanking the rear, but by just walking around the mg. clearly the maxim strats simply work better on the MG-42, as the larger cone of fire and basically immediate suppression (eventually vet 1 ability) are really good, and it's weaknesses are the same for every other machine gun. The maxim gets to beat the mg-42 in green to green cover, apparently, but that is not exactly their purpose anyhow In: COH2 Gameplay

UKF wont become any more overpowered than the wehrmacht or OKW, so that change is fine The maxim didn't deserve the increased pop cap, it might be the worst MG in the game, but alright developers. SNIPER NERFS PRAISE BE, even if sov gets hurt way more than ostheer xDDD. they should implement the kv-2 siege mode ability to the su-76 and replace the barrage with it, so the unit isn't total trash after 15 minutes, better nerf the m3a1 though In: Lobby

In a balance perspective that adds counterplay and requires the SOV player to defend the area ESPECIALLY because the su76 is made of tissue paper. Free barrage can be canceled and used on a whim which has a higher chance of abuse en masse This is my whole argument for a siege mode: You can utilize a playstyle of softening up enemy defenses for assaults, blunting enemy blobs in defense, and be punished if you do not respect your siege mode, just like in the case of the kv-2 Meanwhile fortified armor lets ferdi have over 100 range in a stationary mode, panthers getting TD range, and you can IMMEDIATELY become mobile if you need to. There's no reason why the su-76 cant receive it's own siege mode, it fits the faction, is reasonably balanced, and the unit will have relevance throughout the game. Honestly if people are afraid of spam, abuse, or whatever, but still gave wehrmacht a hull down with no downsides, idk what to say anymore In: COH2 Balance

The only advantage the maxim has over any other MG is the AOE suppression. Period. So you build two and move them in unison and blob conscripts next to them in teamgames. In 1v1s you don't go maxims (ironically the mg-42 and even 34 work better as offensive MGs because the immediate suppression and wide arc of fire give the enemy less options) it seems smart to utilize the maxim as an offensive mg, but the arc of fire just force it to be constantly repositioning tbh In: COH2 Gameplay
