Australian Magic clearly mentioned Thompsons. But there is just two ways to limit Thompsons that I know of, you can either have them unlimited, or limited to heavy weapon slots (2 for most squads). The only other way is to have predetermined squads come with them or upgrade to them, as you can control the number and type of weapons they use that way.
This is too difficult for dev which unable to to correctly fix Elite & Industry.
Furthermore, while Thompsons and Bazookas were given to the Soviet Union, I can't find any evidence that BAR's were.
Again, you're talking about a game in which no one of the factions have nothing to do with real prototypes. And in some places, and in general with reality. Bundle grenades useless against vehicle? Molotov cocktails used against infantry?
The closest thing was a Polish BAR clone, the Wz. 1928, captured during the Soviet Invasion of Poland and used in World War 2 in small numbers. But it did not look like the M1918 BAR, nor was it given to them as Lend-Lease.
I have heard about the use of these Polish BAR soviet militia on a par with wz.30, some sort of 1919 Browning. It was during the Battle of Moscow. Soviet home guard divisions of Leningrad and Moscow were very well armed.
But you can't drop SMG on the ground. Thompsons will be good like upgrade.
Still i like idea with resupply half-track. But i don't believe in this. German lobby will not approve. Sov with BAR and zooks ?! The horror, horror!
Wish we had the T-60. Pretty much dual Luchs' on tracks (in terms of RoF). Yes it dies to a stiff breeze; who cares, it deals out 20 mm death by the belt.
IRL Luchs was better T-60 in all: more crew, more speed, more armor and better cannon.
T-34-57 obr. 1943 (upgrade for the T-34-76 obr. 1942? Strap a 45 m-range US M1 57 mm gun [statistically] to your T-34 for the price of 75 MU and the total loss of your nearly nonexistent AI capacity)?
This will turn T-34 into minipanther. German lobby will no approve.
Well anybody here finds any use for poor old T-34/76 and KV-1?
I try. Partyzans + T-34-76 and KV-1 + SU-76. Whis work but Guard Motor/Shock Rifle Frontline more effective, less vulnerable and easier to control.
I purchased almost all the commanders in the game and most of them are completely useless. I feel myself like a idiot. Well, at least I did not have to buy NKVD commander
Ostheer's not that different really. The only weapons they have that were developed after 1943 are the StG44 and the Ostwind. Maybe the Brummbar. So I don't think the Germans-have-future-weapons argument really holds true.
Tell this cons, maxims, penals, sniper team and CE who use gear from Great War. Or even downgraded, like molotov.
