Had some games that lastet an hour with the new patch where I fielded a Tiger. The Tigers had about half the kill count. Pretty juch sums up where the Tiger is now. You are better off with a Brummbär + Pak these days. In: COH2 Balance

Best standard infantry in the game with the most efficient upgrades (5 men, Double Brens) and a cancerous cover bonus. Best lategame tanks with a non doctrinal Tiger or super HP Churchills. And emplacement cancer - although nerfed - plays into this. It's way easier to screen your mortar pit when your infantry basically can't be pushed away once in cover. It's beyond good design to buff the most cancerous faction in the game while hardly buffign the weakest one that depends on combined arms (Ost). And that shit can be seen in the current meta. Game lost a lot of quality since Brits are meta again. On top of that the Tiger is out of the game, leaving Ost with no good meatshield tank. AI almost instantly switched to the Brummbär. In: Lobby
Thread: KT thread26 May 2020, 11:05 AM Every Panzer IV does Anti infantry better than any Tiger or KT. The gun needs to pack a punch against infantry. Right now it is just a paperweight that wont get anywhere once 60 range td dominate any engagement. We saw it fail miserably in the tournament (Helping Hans, Von Asten vs Thoton and that other TR guy). Simply because it was too slow and couldnt deflect hits. Sure the Axis tilted and had the KTs ass face the enemy. But still in the time it was on the field it would simply not deliver sufficient damage. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: [Feuersturm] MP40 and Hetzer19 May 2020, 16:25 PM Never used the Flammhetzer to great effect. The reasons being: 1. No ability to circle AT guns like the KV 8. 2. No necessity to go for the unit since the Panzer IV does the AI job just as well and arrives 50 fuel later (= 2 mins). Thus I voted that the timing should be improved. 3. You renounce the biggest power spike OKW has: The fast Panzer IV. 4. Low HP pool for a flame tank. If you are unlucky the Hetzer will go down with 4 shots. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Sturmtiger and ARVE23 Apr 2020, 10:33 AM The Sturmtiger with shorter range than any units sight range will never work since the awkward turretless design means any shot can be easily predicted and dodged. Imo it should be redesigned to become artillery, something like the B4. To compensate the AOE or accuracy should be lowered or the unit should be more expensive. In: COH2 Balance

While that is true, the problem is that this strategy is single handedly countered by a Katjuscha or Calliope, incindiary offmap, clusterbomb,deleting the majority off your army that has to be on one spot to be efficient. Problem is that once arty and 60 range tds hit the field, you are on the backfoot as Ost. Your tanks don't cut it vs superior range and without clumsy support units sitting on a spot you will lose. Just had a game where I kept my Tiger Ace alife for half an hour. usually that brought me up to 90 kills. Now it didn't even get half of that. The patchers are incompetent. People warned them this would happen. The last half year the most discussed topic was how shit Ostheer is. And they still failed. It looked like they had to be talked into "buffing" tier 4. First they didn't even touch it. It was only after a major backlash that they had to do something, only to fail again with shit buffs nobody needed and a giant nerf to the only unit that held Ostheer together. And again people told tham this wouldn't work. I never had high expectations in their work but at this point it's just a farce. In: COH2 Balance

Also complaining that OST is garbage in 1s, even though so far in the tourney they're doing perfectly fine? Mkay. That's the really sneaky thing. Ostheer received pseudo buffs and a great nerf: Tiger is gone. All in all I consider Ost a worse faction now in competitive gaming. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Tier list 1vs1 18 Apr 2020, 08:08 AM Shows the problem I was talking about even before the patch. Why do Brits get straight up buffs while Ostheer does get minor adjustments? The game is about field presence. Capping a bit faster and then getting your ass kicked by superior units will not fix Ostheer. Sure you can reinforce cheaper aswell. But then you return and get your ass kicked by superior units again. Brits and Ost were underperformign previously. Either both get slight adjustments or both get straight up performance buffs. Everything else is a double standard. In: COH2 Balance
