General Information


Thread: So I played CoH2 again...2 Sep 2014, 23:37 PM when the game isnt doing those various stutters of weird kinds... it runs great. i get smooth gameplay. The issue to me isnt really even performance, its just plane old bugs. The game will run fine for me on medium/high settings. but all the time i start a match where im stuck on the loading screen for 20 seconds, and i miss the first 20 seconds of the game due to some weird stutter. then i get a message saying my settings are too high. but after it goes through the stutter i get very smooth gameplay that runs real well.... and if i put all my settings on low i get the same exact issue. The game just has bugs. they need to spend time and fix them. another issue: the tactical map. Besides having too much detail as already been stated. it just too slow. Its something id want to pop up for a quick reference. but it usually causes my game to stutter for about a half second to a full second when i open or close it. This is not very good if im trying to keep my micro up. In: Lobby
Thread: Mega Thread Rescue of Maps2 Sep 2014, 18:00 PM i dont agree with all your suggestions, for instance: 4v4 Lienne_forest This map in the late game, this VP middle is crucial to victory/defeat. There are objects that impair entry vehicles/tanks, hinders the vision of them. Therefore it is desirable to remove the objects listed below. Why should the middle objective be easier to cover with tanks? its great that youve picked up on some objects of tactical importance. but their reason for being there is that they effect your tactical decisions. Not all units should be equally effective in all areas. If anyone wanted that then the game would just take place in a big open field with nothing in it. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Abandon vehicle occurring more often? 2 Sep 2014, 06:36 AM i think this might be more of a playstyle thing. Doesnt this scenario happen mostly whenever you get attacked and damaged to the destruction of the tank, but the killing hit wasnt a "penetration" hit? I feel like if you have a lot of vehicles going up against a lot of smaller arms itll simply just happen a lot. But if you have vehicles going up against At guns and tanks itll rarely happen. Thread: Overdue for a Patch?31 Aug 2014, 22:26 PM i dont think relic is ignoring discussions and feedback about balance. I think its more about letting a patch settle and give the community time to form educated opinions on the changes, check out game stats, etc before they put the next patch out. If they put out balance patches every other week thered be no time for people to learn what the changes are or how they impact the game, or if they fix balance issues or cause other balance issues. The unit itself is pretty strong, especially once it gains Vet 2, but its cost (including tech cost) makes it a little unattractive in a meta where people prefer to save for expensive call-ins that can outperform and counter the P4 (E8s, T34-85s, ISU, IS2 e.t.c.). I predict that once Relic changes the call-in system, the P4 will become a better option since it will have a larger timing window to exploit before those call-ins hit the field. im crossing my fingers for call ins to require tech upgrades on the next patch. Thread: Please be consistent with Call in artillery 28 Aug 2014, 01:24 AM well different artillery is different. some artillery is "dumbfired" and it goes where you aim it, some will track the target, some you use the arty on an entire sector, and any enemy in the sector gets targeted. Some has to be used on enemy sectors. You gotta read the description. In: COH2 Gameplay

Use attack move to have them stop moving (ideally though youll want to put them in cover and sit there, but if theres no cover around then use attack move) In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Mid game? / Current Pop cap system27 Aug 2014, 20:59 PM i agree popcap should scale with map control. Maybe have the minimum be higher than the minimum from coh1, but it should scale. Skipping light and medium tanks should be a suicide tactic that is hard to pull off/typically doesnt work. In: COH2 Gameplay
