4v4 city 17 and me (usf) and effennewbie (su) are south spawn right side. I'm airborne and go Lt. Enemy is just coming back midgame from our infantry push(we had fuel). I just saw a p4 and the other guy has ostwind. I am getting major and newbie has a t34. I'm running from the ostwind and slowly dragging at at gun up. The p4 hits one of my mines. Then he found my ambo with ostwind so I retreat my troops leaving at gun one rifle and m20 on field. Newbie chasing OSTwind away... One more hit and it's dead. I literally drove m20 halfway across the map, blast through a fence right in front of ostwind and roadblock him. Newbie kills ostwind. Unfortunately the p4 was only a hair away and my m20 died same time as ostwind. My at gun sets up and starts on rear of p4 just as newbie starts on it with t34. When it brewed up.... ragequit from both ostheer on our side.
You can't understand how epic the m20 block was unless you saw it. I lol'ed so hard I cried.

Daspoulas avatar is clearly supposed to be ironic. Your's is less obvious, if that is the case. Get some Microsoft paint on it and a better handle and you won't have these disputes. Nazis tainted the words Death's Head ... not me. You're the one going around with that name and that avatar and defending okw and you are surprised when you get called on it. Anything but partisans spawning behind the lines is horseshit. Only paratroopers make sense, an that's not instant. I think fallschirmjaeger should be the same. Have JLI et al spawn in friendly/neutral buildings is ok. Enemy territory is not cool. Same thing for the FHQ. In: COH2 Gameplay |

I think we can all agree that okw has its own set of odd stuff that seems counter to the way vanilla factions are played. Wehrmacht has problems mostly because they are way behind on mp due to teching. How that can be solved is up for debate. They also suffer from the mg42 not being as kick ass as an mg42 ought to. German infantry play revolves entirely around the mg42. You need it to slow the allied infantry for your grenadiers/mortar to chew them up. Currently it does not do that as effectively as it should. Beyond that, the 221/222 sucks. It needs more armor so it doesn't die in a stiff breeze and also enough dps to kill a damn sniper. I can't say how many snipers I've chased all the way back to their base to only kill one model. I personally think that the stug needs a more defined role. It's a shitty generalist that you buy when you want a p4 and don't have the fuel and can't wait. Make it a 50 range td and I'm happy. Aside from those issues I think everything is fine/great. My stats prof in university was famously quoted as saying, "statistics are just another way to lie." If I have two and you have three... you have 50% more than me. If I have three and you have two.... you have 33% less than me. It's all semantics. Who cares? Anyway, if they made skipping a tier viable it would vastly improve wehrmacht. You get good units at fair prices, the teching is what kills you. Wehr has trouble on account of four man squads, must reinforce more often, but that's not it. It's the obscene amount of manpower needed to tech up to t4 while usf receives officers for their mp invested in teching. The biggest issue I have though is field presence due to forward retreat points. Wehr must soft retreat to a halftrack/bunker or go all the way back to the base. On big maps this becomes a problem once your usf opponent can hard retreat and be back in 10-15 seconds. He can apply more constant pressure than you. This also applies to okw vs soviets. It's a distinctly unfair advantage between the vanilla and WFA factions. Between that and the tech structure the wehrmacht is at a huge disadvantage versus the USF. That said, I prefer the way wehr is designed. They seem to be the most complete faction. They are undisputedly the most capable of using combined arms. That is what I like the most. It pisses me off to no end to have to choose between a suppression platform or an AT gun as usf. As wehr you get the right weapons at the right times. Their light vehicles suck but their armor excels. The team weapons are on average on par or better than their counterparts. I just think the way others tech really hamstrings that faction. At best as soviets you'll have half your stock units available. Usf almost never more than 3/4 and basically the same for okw unless you're going for KT. I think they should make the other factions more like wehr in that sense. It allows for more and better counterplay. They'd have to adjust other stuff of course to adjust for timings. Lately I'm all about the priest in big team games. I go 2xBAR rifles 2xLMG rifles Craptain 57mm 2xM36 and 2xPriests. I've done exceptionally well with the priests. They aren't as good as b4s but way harder to counter. It can chew up elefant/jagdtiger too. I keep some at lingering around the priests to keep them safe since I have no m20 mines. Perhaps with a SU t2 mate you can go Lt. I almost never have both priests firing at once. It works well against ostheer since they aren't mobile and when shelling okw medic truck it's easy to rack up 15 kills with one barrage. I've even fended off attacks by baiting a blob to stand still just long enough. Two shells will screw any blob. It's just a matter of anticipating their movement and knowing the time it will take shells to land. In: COH2 Gameplay |
