Thread: OKW Combined arms23 Dec 2014, 08:43 AM So what is OKW supposed to do with that fuel shortage? Build vehicles? Combine them with infantry? Maybe some raketenwerfers ? They cannot rely on anything but units buildable from mp. They are maybe overperforming, so make them buy their upgrades for obers, fallschirms, JLIs (if an 100% amo income, otherwise no way). Volks blobs? Make them less durable, like maybe 4 men per squad, but do something about that stupid raketen. These are the ways you may make an OKW player to combo more. OKW has its design, you may like it or not, it's not gonna change. I like its design, but this is me. ...What the garden do you expect from an army conceived as if it will give its last breath? Ostheer Grenadiers - Panzerfaust, LMG-42 Upgrade, (Doctrinal) G-43 Upgrade (Eliminates possibility of LMG-42 Upgrade.), and Rifle Grenade. American Riflemen - Anti-Tank Grenade (Snare), Frag Grenade, Smoke Grenade, Bazooka, BAR, (Doctrinal) M1919-LMG Upgrade (Does not eliminate possibility for BAR's). I dunno about your math, but mine is solid on this. That's six options for American Riflemen vs four options for Ostheer Grenadiers! Not to mention that even without upgrades, American rifles overpower and outclass Ostheer Grenadiers. So where exactly do they begin to outscale American rifles? Or is my definition of scaling as number of options to approach any given situation not correct? I find these two units rather balanced when compared one to the other. Rifles shines in early game, and outperform grenadiers. From there, there is an amo problem. Whoever gets enough amo to upgrade his squads, has the advantage. Then, it is a question of squad preservation - a battle for obtaining experienced squads in late game. Between level 3 vet grenadiers and vet 3 ONE BAR rifles.... it's situational, but I think in most cases grens will still win. In: COH2 Balance

It's allready verry hard to win while playing with USF in 2v2, 3v3, etc. If I play with soviets a random 2v2 and my teammate is USF, I usually say "oh shit". I was ready to say that USF needs a buff, but it's true I didn't play a 1v1 since a long time with axis (I'm a freakin' 2v2 maxim spammer lately and it's working great. The funniest and easiest games ever. People, play soviets, you don't know what you miss ). Maybe things are changed?! In: COH2 Balance
Thread: GTX 970 and coh2 issue22 Dec 2014, 06:54 AM My only explanation is that coh2 doesn't like nvidia or viceversa or both. Ok, didn't have a card of your caliber, I had a 570 GTX series. But this card is close to or better than that in "recommended system requirements". And it was still running on low settings to have a decent frame rate. Changed it with an Ati R9 280 x series and no problem now. Runs perfect, everything on "highest" except anti aliasing which runs on "Low" and I'm sure I can't run the game on maximum settings becasue of my CPU which is weak. I saw some people here complaining about their nvidia cards performances related to coh2. That's why when I changed my video card I dismissed nvidia from the start. In: COH2 Bugs

The IS-2s just kept missing, over and over. They took a good number of shots to kill, but their damage dealing is pathetic. Next time only gonna build 1 IS-2 to take shots and SU-85 to actually hit stuff. You are correct. I had about same experience. I mean, missing it's one thing, but add into this the fact that it's reloading sooo slow. There you have your almost good for nothing heavy. A Tiger is clearly more sharp. Anyway, in a combat situation you won't have Tiger alone vs IS2 alone. German tank will be accompained by several AT capable units like PAK40 or schrecks. These, compaired to their soviet counterparts are also more capable. So the difference is not that easy to see if we observe them fighting 1 v 1. Conclusion: As a Tiger and IS2 user, I declare myself more pleased about Tiger performance. In: COH2 Balance

Maybe IS2 is thick and resistant, but when it comes to ROF and accuracy....... it's terrible. All in all, if I was to chose between a Tiger and an IS2, taking into account the latest Tiger nerfs (that took place 3-4 patches ago), I would STILL pick the Tiger. At list I can chose a doctrine with smoke, and pop some when i am in truble. What can I do with an IS2 when it's in truble? In: COH2 Balance
