I am sure they can be viable at the lower ELO. But I am kindly asking anyone who defends riflemen and whines about pahtfinders to please use rifles in 2v2-4v4 against a top 100 player with 60+% winrate that spams lmg grens, volks, obers, JLI (or literally any axis mainline) with double HMG. And then upload the replay and tell us how much fun you had and how successful it was And you know something about it since yourself trashtalk people not following the only one path meta. Anyway even if in 1vs1 rilfemen are ok, the rest of the faction doesn't follow and make USF terribly hard to play at equal level with their opponent. USF lacks of shock units and punishing tools when your opponent makes a mistake and if you don't have a RNG moment to help you, you'll basically slowly lose to your opponent by attrition. Some people like to go 1 RM + 3 Path, some other 3 Pathfinder directly then 1 more unit later (team weapon or para). Not sure if 3PF can be called spam. Put JLI at Path level and CP0 and they're going to be fine, Soviet and Brit have easy counter already fielded vs OKW and USF issue vs them is an USF internal problem that can be solved by buffing Riflemen to their correct level. Thus I'm not sure it would solve the situation with Overwatch which is batshit OP anyway. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: sniper idea25 Nov 2022, 07:35 AM Soviet sniper isn't really a problem since they don't come with appropriate support before long, you can easily force him with a good push. Ostheer sniper is an issue because you can have it, an hmg, pioneer with extended vision and a gren squad without much sacrifice early game then you get more grens and fast 222. Imo, I'll propose to put more on sniper synergie with the rest of the army: put a 90% treehold on it so he can't snipe full heals model but only wounded ones. In: COH2 Gameplay
