Thread: Rifle grenade madness after last big patch21 Nov 2014, 12:48 PM Jump back to quoted post21 Nov 2014, 12:22 PMwongtp i'd like to see you do it consistently. the degree of error is small, take a hit, it could be a squad wipe, you can dodge 5 of them and take the 6th one and lose that squad. on the average, you are amazing at dodging a good 83%, but it still hurts because you just lost a squad and god fucking forbid if thats a vetted one. All grenades are somehow punishing. RN are not wiping squads more consistently than any other nade, seriously, you make it sound like it is an ISU152 shot. In: COH2 Balance

There is no disadvantage in it. Just fail and stupid. Riflegrenade spam is really a pain and game killer for me. And i mean cons, guards and shocks. No disadvantage ? What about minimum range ? Grens are designed to be long range fighters, rifle nade is designed to be a long range nade. If you stay in grens optimal fighting range at all times, then the problem is not the nade. The nade by itself forces a lot of attention towards what each of your squads are doing, it wipes squads when they are heavily damaged, clumped a lot and are standing still (and somewhere between minimal and maximal range of the rnade). At times i would like to have a normal nade rather than the rifle one with my grens. So much for the no disadvantages, huh ? In: COH2 Balance

So the Oberkommando player has to chose whether he plays with an AT blob with worst than now AI, or an AI blob with worst than now AT, or a mediocre mix of both (this would reflect more closely the choices of players of the other factions). Remember ostheer has no penalties, and if it wants a schreck blob it just have to keep one amo point being able in the same time to build CACHES. Thread: next DLC patch November18 Nov 2014, 06:27 AM I'm just stepping in, but i wouldn't count new factions out of the equation either, there remains two huge theaters of operations that saw plenty of ground armies actual fighting, which aren't yet into the game: the Africa front (British Commonwealth vs Afrika Korps) and the Pacific Islands (US Marines vs Japan Imperial Army). It would be a bloody mess to balance all those things around, but i wouldn't be surprised if any, if not both, of those theaters were coming to the game in the years to come. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: next DLC patch November17 Nov 2014, 17:21 PM I see your point, but i don't think the armies' structures differed that much in reality. I don't think they were two different armies (two different high command, sure, but same army structure). So i took it this way: same army, two different timelines. But anything is possible, we will see what Relic has in stores for us (not in AA though, it is Single Player only, for what i've understood). In: COH2 Gameplay
