Glad to see a fix is on the horizon.

Essentially, from launch of the game till today getting veterancy was like getting a participation trophy. It looked nice but didn't really mean anything.

My life = 10000000 of those trophies.

If we give UKF an anti tank snare, then they would have to consider nerffing Piats. Piats rarely ever bounce, they deal good damage. Agreeable they should be more effective without having to micro attack ground but if a tank is snared it means Piats are going to be crazy effective against all targets.

Don't be so short sighted, you give an AT grenade to combat light vehicles and nobody see's how this could snowball into problems for fighting the brits into mid and late game? They have very good tanks, combined with a good AT snare, and then Piat spam? Did nobody fight the tactical support combinations where people just tossed mass piat blobs that roamed around murdering both tanks and infantry?

If you make the piat better, I hope you increase the cost. People bitch about the "laser guided OKW shreck " yea well they pay 90 munitions, 50% more than Ost for 1, they pay far more than a bazooka, and over double than a Piat. While we're at it, don't forget the same upgrade unlocks Brens and Piats. Whats that unlock for OKW? An incendiary nade that you'll die before throwing vs double bren squads of tommies? a shreck? oh thats real useful against AI.

OKW is leaning hard on its Luch, because Volks get smashed by tommies. You take the Luch away, then we'll be in the same boat where OKW is going to be asking for counters to tommies....


Wasn't this all about the 222 ? yet it's barely talked about in these comments?

I am using the new 222 meta as an example but it is more of wondering if the Brits need a AT Snare to counter the early light vehicles the Axis can bring. The Luchs has always been a problem, but you might only face that 50% of the time. With the new 222, you now have a much greater chance to run into Axis light vehicles which can take a shot from your AT gun then drive behind it and wipe it. The AEC comes too late and the Brit sniper needs Vet 1 to get its snare ability, plus light vehicles are made to fight Snipers.

This could be addressed a number of ways, my idea was to see how people felt about Brit AT Snare, Relic might decide the current meta is fine, or they might slow down the arrival of the Luchs and 222 with side upgrades for OKW and cost increase on the 222.

Maybe have suppressed units de-cap and cap slower?

See how often Allied infantry can de-cap/cap when in the field of a MG42 or Maxim and compare that to the B.S. in the video I posted. The only reliable unit the Brits have to cover a side point or cutoff from being de-capped is the Bofors and then you lock yourself out of the AEC which is really needed for the current 222 spam. I am not asking for a ton of faction symmetry, but given how important controlling points is and how many resources you can lose from your cutoff being de-capped for even 60 sec, is it so unfair that the Brits 280MP HMG be at least able to pin one squad before they de-cap a point?

I am glad this is at least generating some discussion that isn't "L2P you fanboi". I just find that early Luchs and 222 are incredibly hard to play around as the Brits. It takes too long to get an AEC and rushing for an AT gun to counter an early 222 spam is really restricts the early capping as it is only good against the 222/Luchs(where as rushing for a 222/Luchs allows you to harass Vicker and Tommies we no free of reprisals to make up for the lack of infantry).

The thing with asymmetrical balance is that even the tiniest change on one unit can have rippling effects on the other factions and even on how a faction is played and perceived. For example right after the AEC buff people suddenly came up with a grocery list of OP units in the faction, that others were saying how UP the faction was before the change. I really feel that the mobility of the AEC actually changed how people played the Brits and opened up new strategies that persist even after its nerf(basically the buff encouraged people to play the faction and as they got practice they found the faction wasn't quite so "unplayable" as they first thought). This is a double edged sword however as certain weaknesses that might not have been so bad before are now being brought to the front. This is why I think the lack of a reliable AT Snare for Brits should be looked at now.
