Honestly the problem I think should be address in the next patch would be:
- Remove IL2 bombing from both ISU commanders & Remove Stuka bomb drop from Elefant commander.
P/S: Just lost another game of ISU wiping my infantry from max range, moving elefant up to counter ISU, T34 ram then IL2 bombming
Pure bullshit ( If you managed to damage the T34 engine when its in ramming animation the tank will still ramming. Best way right now is to move another tank to block the ramming path )
Whoever doing the next patch, please for the love of god think about this ideal, stop this ISU rampage my god.
To be fair, the T-34 ram + IL2 is a very high risk, high reward combo. Its going to be a huge swing either way. |
-lefh main purpose is counter arty.
Just going to go out and say that its stupid that an arty countering arty basically means your opponent can't have arty while you are free to have some arty. I think this is really stupid. |
My request for CoH3 is different balances for 1v1 and team games. That way we don't always have to rely on 1v1 for balance. |
I feel like all Soviet dedicated artillery; the M-41 Mortar, the Katyusha, the ML-20; have all suffered from the removal of the Precision Strike ability. While it was a cheesy and poorly thought out ability, it was the only reason most of these were used, the ability carried these units.
The M-41 and ML-20 should both be given a Zeroing Barrage at Vet 1 where the scatter becomes tighter and tighter with each shot round, until the last one round which acts similar to the Precision Strike.

Volks are early game squads , when you get the stgs they are super strong usually , especially if you went battlegroup so you can afford more of them faster. Then for you late game you have the option of obers or falls if you prefer them. Ostheer has grens which scale quite well late game. Volks are mid range squads with the stgs but their dps is limited by only being able to get 2 stgs which represent 1 bars in dmg.
The 1 bar in damage ignores (some) cover tho
IMO Volks should be used just like conscripts. You use them to hold the line until you can bring up your reserves or better infantry. Don't expect them to win many fights by themselves. |

i can only speak for 2v2
usually 4cons or 3cons+one guard/shock
always go for double engies to spam mines - double flamer against okw, mixed against ost
t1 is mostly irrelevant unless you want a sniper
as opposed to other factions, your mainline infantry wont win you alot engagements, you have to rely on your flamer/t70/guards/shocks to win fights while your cons spam cover and delay the opponent as much as possible.
rush your flamer, every single muniton afterwards should be put into mines/demos/trip wire (and guards dps of course, incase you go for one).
maybe molotovs depending on your playstyle.
your flamer is your most valuable unit for the first minutes, keep him working for as long as possible, merge them, plant mines
rush t70 as fast as possible and treat it as your own child, sweep for it, keep a snare in range and/or at gun and it will be THE main work horse of your army until the late game.

In my opinion those abilities should just lower reinforcement costs. mun cost and duration should then be adjusted accordingly.
I like this idea a lot.
It sounds like it could be very powerful but the intent of this ability is to have more models available.
An even simpler version would be to:
- Exchange muni for MP
or
- Refund MP when models are lost while ability is active |
Can we get a revisit to this ability?
Everyone knows its garbage especially for 60 munitions. The Katyusha has less lethality compared to other rocket artillery but it has a special ability which should theoretically make up for it.
Right now its not very effective or cost efficient. I doubt it has ever been used it in the past 3 tournaments. It is a big problem and it should be addressed.
My suggestion is to change the ability to address something the Katyusha is bad at. Such as firing rockets. Since it fires slow but acts as an area denial. Change it to fire the same amount of rockets in a full barrage and 2.5 faster. Similar to the Werfer. Make it cost 30 munitions to do this. Change name from creeping barrage to "Quick Barrage". |
