Whenever you kill key units etc is a great time to be a bit more aggressive in general, also if you manage to force a massretreat you should be able to take some of the key locations on the map without any issues. Losing a Sturm early is pretty much good game. Having to worry about an instant squad wipe demo that may or may not exist in the early game when you are strapped for resources is just not fair. Obviously demo already instant squad wipes and that is without vision. Obviously it would be better if there is no opportunity for a squad to be wiped at the 8 minute mark. Obviously you will now be able to stop demo from even being there at the 30 minute mark by devoting attention to killing engi whenever possible. Guess what currently has stealth and vision and blows up for huge damage? The OKW Goliath has vision and is somehow not op but instead total trash... Sometimes I've lost 2x SPios to a single demo thanks to my own stupidity but I've been easily able to come back by changing up my game plan, but if those were late game volks/obers with vet 5 and weapon upgrades I would probably get run over by infantry without a chance in the world, taking in to consideration that the game has been even up until that point Also, goliath is shit because it gets SPOTTED, it's not invisible, just stealthed In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Smoke barrage, when and where?12 Jan 2017, 21:24 PM Smoke barrages can be used against MGs if they surprise you, smoke on top of your own infantry so that they break suppression and close up for a grenade after that. There are things like this you can do with the smokes but personally I almost never do anything like this since I almost never get a chance to But since you mentioned the ostheer smoke drop... It's very effective while planning a tank attack against enemy TDs etc since you're able to close up to a range from which you're able to take them down from, also works as a poor mans Panzer Tactician (Tank smoke screen). Thread: Lock Demo Behind Veterancy12 Jan 2017, 21:03 PM Demo wipes early game aren't as punishing as in late game, does it feel worse to lose a vet 1 volks squad at 8 minutes, or a vet 5 STG volk squad at 30 minutes? (Protip: It's the vet 5 volk squad) Also giving demos vision is just a troll suggestion, I wonder why I'm being this serious with this answer anyways when obvious troll is obvious In: COH2 Balance
Thread: New Community Map Feedback Thread12 Jan 2017, 08:54 AM 2v2 maps - Lisores River (I think that's what it's called) Just another artillery camp fest map with bunkers and MGs defending red cover, very very dull to play and gives allies a huge edge thanks to them having superior arty in general. Pripyat sector - Only having 2 VPs almost always causes the match to stretch out and doesn't really pressure your opponents as much as they should. Also having only two VPs makes the match be two 1v1s on the other sides of the map, and only makes people work together when the other flank is secured. The other two new 2v2 maps are fine Just my general thoughts on the new maps In: COH2 Balance
