WTF are you all ranting about ?!? Is it possible that half of this forum is literally delusional ?
I'm not that much of a terrible player, (I played vCoH and CoH2 since it's release) yet my W/L ratio in 4vs4 is always bit below 50%. Allies actually DO HAVE blatant advantage in numbers ! I've lost many games against obviously better skilled, better coordinated teams, but also the average teams, since Axis fan club is obviously far more populated with sorta 'noobs', than the Allied side. Which is statistically logical 90% of players searching as Axis give you far more unpredictability than 10%. I've seen plenty of situations where even holding the both fuel for half an hour didn't help, when blob of T34/85, or E8 drove through the map, and destroyed everything of that "superior" german origin.. How did they manage to build 10 tanks, while OH and OKW are still scratching with Pumas and light vehicles, saving for one miserable Panther !??
Balance while obviously never perfect - is actually quite ok, the problem on the other hand is that, for it's cool factor, 90% of ordinary folk prefers Axis, and in order to get the game goin' more mature, experienced, all round players pick allies, and they Win. Maybe it's whole different world in the top 50 players realm, but if you start nerfing Axis on account of that "fictional" top shelf balance, soon you're gonna start losing the vast majority of average, casual players that actually make the most of the paying customers.

just lost 3 in a row with okw.. rifleman spam, thunderbolt spam, maxim spam, zis spam you name it. Allies just need to know how to exploit the game, and there it is - EZ mode just as some of you want think late OKW is ...

I honestly find that statistic hard to believe. For how long period of time is this supposed to be ?
I have good weeks, and I have bad weeks, sometimes I win 4 in a row, sometimes I lose 4 in a row.
And my W/L ration is always somewhere around 55% maybe. I think many of the balance issues ppl are complaining about are actually the product of the peculiar automatching system with which Relic is trying to manipulate with the "game experience" and "user satisfaction" issues.

66% overall.. 2 fuel for scavenge ?!? wtf !?? lower armor on the ass of the KT ?!? with it's speed and laughable turret rotation that thing - if unsupported - is fish in a barrel for two Easy8/T34/85 ! Geez !

Well it this thread is really interesting it's complaining about a unit which was designed to counter mainly the isu. And that's why it can shoot through walls, sure someone might say that it's impossible to flank but....it's not somewhere will be a gap in the enemy line and then you should be able to strike. The jagdtiger has some serious disadvantages, it's slow (very slow), expensive and gets stunned even by an at gun. Now if you remove the wall shooting and the longer range like some here suggested you'll have an elephant without spotting and that gets stunned instantly when the isu shoots back and we shouldn't forget that it is mainly 2 isus vs. 1 jt. An easy prey right, too easy for an unit the okw player has spent his whole fuel on.
Exactly. I might be an average player, but I've lost several JT's to better players than me. If the game isn't a stomp against a total noobs, and the resources are split in half for that long a game for JT to arrive - the enemy will have a whole pallete of armor and abilities to throw against it. I play mostly large team games, and I've seen it done so many times. Whenever JT is called with the last drops of hard collected fuel as some sort of desperate remedy for a obviously loosing game, it goes in flames usually along with all the hope too - in matter of few minutes. It just gives the winning team additional reason to gloat. On the other hand, I don't remember one single game where I could attribute the win or in fact total turn of the tide to a single JT coming out in the very late game. Only seen it do what it was supposed to do - keep at bay ISU, IS2's or kiting Jacksons. It's not a one shot/kill unit and gives a chance to any halfdecent player to retreat, repair and reevaluate a situation. All of the JT's critics seem to forget that it can not autospot for itselft like the ISU or Elefant, and requires the Axis presence on the map part of interest or off map recon which isn't always so simple when u invested 1/3 of your manpower for highly specialized therefore limited unit.

Now name one that's not doctrinal.
I actually try to build up my basic tactics without choosing a doctrine. And I really go for JT in the second half of the match if the enemy is trying to steamroll us with multiple IS2's or ISU starts to negate everything you ever built or trained. for that silly amount of fuel I'd take KT in most of all other scenarios.

Approx. every 2/10 games.. I manage to build two KT's or KT & JT. (4vs4 of course)

I was obviously thinking of it as a possibility of one player alone. When one man can field such combo it might be regarded as OP, but when there's two or more it's nothing but good teamplay. I remember one time one premade team fielded a combo of 2 IS2's backed by a 4 Jacksons.. 3 or 4 of my team mate's Panthers perished in (literally) seconds. Yet.. then they run into my twin King Tigers backed by Elephant and Jagdtiger. 90 seconds later they surrendered. It was one of those marathon 4vs4 war stories and one of the most exciting endgames I ever played, and without all of that heavy metal it wouldn't be half as fun as it was.

As an (still) exclusive Axis player, who plays mostly 3vs3 and 4vs4s I must say I'd love to see Pershing hit the (coh2) field soon. As an obvious fan of Axis heavy stuff, it's "almost" always really fun and intense when you meet a decent match in the field of battle (ie. IS2's, ISU's etc.) and same was with the Pershing in the vCoH and Pershing Ace in BK mod. Yet just implementing it overnight without a complete design overhaul would bring all kinds of troubles. A Pershing commander would render most of the other commanders "unpopular" and complementing it with USF economy and Jackson (and it's range) would mean a potential balance catastrophe. Not to complicate things further I'll say that the current commander system and design is far from perfect and the current meta data proove it. I'm very supportive of the ideas that suggest overall non doctrinal "basic" heavy unit such as KT, for all factions ie. Tigers and IS's for Soviets and OH and that would mean Pershing for the USF. Given the combination of enough xp points, resources and manpower - every faction should be able to field one 'basic' heavy tank. While specialised units such as Jagdtiger, Elephant and ISU would follow obvious doctrinal logic. As someone on this forum stated, commanders/doctrines should be about special and unique abilities/perks/playstyles, not about having or not having the 'luxury' of some of the basic means of war (ie. Heavy tanks). Unfortunately Relic really took few bad turns with their Commander system/implementation/design that I'm not so sure it can be rectified without turning everything upside down :/ Anyhow - Heavy tanks to the people ! Pershing included !

well, it surely must be RARE, since I haven't seen one EVER in anyone's loadout ...
And While I constantly fight guys who carry multiple IS2 or ISU bulletins, I must have them shaking in their cheap soviet boots with my 3% Volks accuracy bonus rofl ...
