What is with all this make the KT a one time call in talk? You will need to buff that thing a lot if you make it a one time call in like VCOH. Or bring back the beretiger.
Exactly, from the present being able to build even two (altho' far fetched) now they want it limited to one per game !?? lol, well, King Tiger Ace maybe..
that allied paranoia. |
So croc now costs as much as all heavies that are effective vs all targets and arrives just as late, but its AI and durability keeps getting nerfed and its AT is a joke.
Crocs AT is Joke ? I once had a frontal slugging match up close with the KT VS the croc, KT won with 1/5 health left ... The brit guy didn't reverse 'cause it really looked like at one point that the Croc is goin' to win. Not to mention that the Croc rolled over Pak, raketen, some grens and my shreck "blob" of 2 Volks, burned a few bunkers etc. before I drove my fresh KT to save the collapse, only to find out that the thing isn't much afraid of the KT as well. One really must wonder why it's getting nerf after nerf.

PS
Did anyone ever complain about OKW starting MP?!
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts. Thank God there's statistics, and Relic is actually doing something about it. Love the december patch. By trying it, I felt like I was playing with the 50kg of cement on my back for the past 2 years

JT used to shoot through houses, well that got nerfed, then they had to buff it back to the game through pop cap adjustment, 'cause it was seldom used, now you want it nerfed again !?? a doctrinal specialist unit, that rarely sees action because it's so situational... Why ? So brits can turtle-up better, and Soviets and Yanks can rush it with medium even easier ? You gotta be joking ... |
happens to me too. Also after a few 4vs4's, and mostly I think on Vielsalm.

Gosh, I would love to defend the KT in this thread. But when people are coming up with videos like these, in which two high end tank destroyers waste 300 ammo to kill a badly positioned KT, that has no support or vision, there are signs of utter failure from the Axis player.
I see way too many people sending their tanks fighting tank destroyers, losing the battle, then flaming that tank destroyers are OP against tanks.. Sigh.
Badly positioned ? It was positioned safely behind the main front (fuel point on Steppes) and there were 6 squads of infantry 5 seconds away from it.. yet spotted by a glitch it gets instawiped from the FOW in 3 seconds. A unit that's practically irreplaceable for OKW. So I guess, your ratio is that if you decide to go for a true Hi-End unit that costs a fortune you should keep it around your base and dedicate whole your army to babysit it. Maybe in a 1 vs 1 against easy AI
lol this, that KT video is a joke xD
if those are your skilss using a KT, then, yeah, it´s clearly UP and it should have 100 range and x2 his armor, so you don´t lose it.
Your comment is a joke. There are no skills in using the KT, it's too slow and unmaneuverable, and has no special ability's and the only thing you can do with it, is stomp over already defeated enemy, or call it in as a punching bag in other case scenario.

but the churchill is not OP; the only reason people have problems with it is because they don't have enough hard AT. the churchill by itself does very little damage (it's a very glorified medium tank) and is only effective when sighting for fireflies. the specialist variants are a different story.
sure Church is not OP in the context of the whole game, but you actually said it yourself - it's OP for a "medium" tank ! and there are exactly 3 + 1 hard counters for it in the whole Axis arsenal, and they're all doctrinal except the KT..
back on topic, I would really love to see or hear even hypothetical situation where Churchill, or any other Allied Heavy melts within 3 seconds.. !?? Please just don't say he gets shot by a 2 JT's, KT and an Elefant while being marked by a Command Panther
As..
"THE best Tank in the whole game/the ultimate area denial tool/mobile fortress of a King Tiger" does in this video KT FTW !
p.s. for things to be even more cute, KT was 100% (Health), and it was revealed 'cause of glitched dead mg member ... so much of user experience. |
the VI B is absolutely fine. the churchill is OP (it's not)
you misplaced the brackets, it should go like this; the VI B is absolutely fine.(it's not). the churchill is OP. |
And KT being most expensive doesn't mean it should steamroll over every unit in game, its hardcounters including.
Actually it does. At that investment it really should steamroll every other single unit. Unless countered by a good combo of units, which allies don't lack - shoot it with dedicated TD's from FOW couple of times, then snare it with base infantry and finish it off by air, arty, medium swarm whatever.. there are countless options, believe me I know, since I lost sooo damn many.
And for your enlightment - KT should NOT have "hardcounters", only counters. It's even in it's description for God's sake ... "weak to Massed AT weapons" but that description is a lil' obsolete I guess.. since "massed" as of right now means more than 1 lol |
on more serious note, I agree that KT needs offensive buffs asap. And not for free, but from the Vet or customization. First of it's vet requirements should be lowered for at least 15-30% overall 'case of right now it's vet "5" system is just a gimmick.
On vet 2 KT should get two additional ammo based customizations unlocked and player could choose one of the two, to specialize the tank in one direction. Just a suggestion but it could be engine upgrades to improve it's agility which it lacks so much, OR the old (frontal) armor value in form of zimmerite coating or something of equivalent to make sense of the deflects. On such a high value unit, I think majority of players willing to invest in it would appreciate some customization possibility. Spearhead, which I'm still not sure what exactly it does, besides additional sight and turret rotation speeds should get that 50 range, a range that all it's natural enemy's have, Pershing and Comet (less armored but significantly faster don't forget) etc.
as a counterbalance, KT should be limited to one on the field as all other Heavy's, and it's rear armor should be lowered so it rewards more tactical approaches to destroying it.
for those that say that KT is ultimate area denial tool, which it obviously isn't, being able to be scared off by all kinds of threats from the FOW - I'll repeat - don't forget that it's almost 1/3 of your army and usually 70-100% of your generated fuel clumped up in one extremely slow unit that can eventually guard 1 point of the map !??

and that is not an issue with the VI B, that is the design issue with the firefly.
I'd say it's the issue with the VI B also, since when a dedicated slow reloading tank destroyer as FF with load of ammo finishes of a PzIV, it's acceptable I'd say, but when "1/3" of your army, and all of the fuel you ever saved vanishes in seconds without the mere possibility to react, then it's the issue with the actual unit that costs that much also.
In my opinion, KT should've deflected at least half of that volley of death. So if the british player is gonna spend all that ammo to try to suckerpunch KT sort of Heavy (frontally) from the safe distance, then he/she should be prepared to waste some amount of that investment to rng. |
