Thread: Why No Maxim Buff?28 Jun 2015, 08:42 AM Despite the maxim being trash I most of the time use a build with two early maxims, up to a top 10 2v2 AT level. They usually get around 7 kills if they don't get granade oneshotted/too stupid to retreat-wiped. But I have never lost a single game where I captured an MG42. The last one got 19 kills plus a vehicle. I can justifiably say that the MG42 is worth two to three maxims, for the same price. For reasons I cannot tell. And need no micro at all. To be honest I think anybody complaining about MG42 being too weak before the patch has L2P issues. Often in streams I see people giving their MGs careless orders/sending into unknown territory - While precise MG setup position and support (also manual targeting) is extremely important. Learn to play with the maxim and the MG42 will be divine. In: COH2 Gameplay

The gun of the KV1 is the same as t34 and cannot penetrate anything heavier than a P4. The tank is basicly shit and overpriced but it's a call in and can be useful to a certain extent. Thread: How to use Counterattack tactics in 3v3 or 4v420 Jun 2015, 18:02 PM There you go: - Make sure that there are no Stuka 50kg commanders around before choosing the doctrine - Get only 1 Shock unit or you will be MP drained - Best with T4 - Dont overdo it with the KV1s, get either 2 AT guns or Su85 to support - Watch out for schreck-rushes, you are vounurable against that - You can specify on artillery if your teammates know how to support you - If so, combine the recon run with Katyushas and the B4 of course - Build the B4 so that the OKW med truck is at its max range - Secure it with mines/barb wire against rushes - Do never fire blindly - Always turn it in advance where you will (have to) strike using the minimap - Wait for good chances/unit accumulations and fire with the unit movement in mind - You can occupy enemies with the KV1 (it can take some damage) while the shot is flying - Early vehicle hits are preferable to get vet faster - You can pull of tricks, where you force a retreat with a Katyusha barrage/FMR'd infantry and fire at the retreatpoint right afterwards and hope for a hit In: Red Army Strategies
