Thread: did shock troops need the buff?13 Mar 2019, 23:25 PM The only thing i find mental about shocks is the short fuse on their nade. Its like an impact bomb, if you dont catch the guy throwing it as he throws it, by the time the countdown pops up you just lost 4-5 guys. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Ostwind Light Vehicle Hunter13 Mar 2019, 22:16 PM I like the idea overall. But the Ostwind needs an accuracy buff mostly, especially while moving. While the P4 is a better counter vs infantry, even with an Ost AP buff, the P4 is still a more clear and better choice. In: COH2 Balance

And it most likely lacks other animations such as the hull-down sandbags etc. Wouldnt take much effort/time to touch up. Not like im suggesting a totally new invention with nothing to base it off. As for the animation it has a P4 Chase. So the animation would just be that. Either way if we say keep the ostwind, it needs a serious accuracy buff, Maybe an increasing rate of fire and more AP so it can at least soft counter T-70/Stuart/AEC. if it cant do that, its not worth getting over a P4. But its accuracy is its main issue. Especially when moving. In: COH2 Balance

As for the projectile animation, theres a bunch of animations they could use, from quad cannons on the M3 HT, to just 4 of the Centuar shots rather than 2. In: COH2 Balance

Comet is premium medium tank costing excatly the same amount of resources as panther (slightly more to be precise) but its bot working well with current stats. So whats wrong with my idea? Are you scared of panthers? Comet has decent anti-infantry capabilities. The Panther doesnt + is over both factions. Both Comet and panther operate fine within their lanes for intended rolls and neither need changing. The Ostwind and Centaur have the same roll, Anti-infantry/air and same tech point, yet one is insanely good, the other is insanely useless and usually fighting larger squads. In: COH2 Balance

They don't have any resources available to work on models and there are no tools available to the community either. There is a Wirbelwind model in the files, but afaik it's the vCoH model and of pretty bad quality. It probably lacks all the proper animations and sounds as well. By the 'sure they can' kinda was implying that they should release the tools to the community. I mean they totally could... at this point its just a matter of how awkward they wanna be. Pretty sure the community could touch up the Wirbelwind if asked. Same sound files would be fine. Guess its a shame that Relic s**t the bed on DoW3. Brings me on a strange train of thought here, but maybe they should just redouble on Coh2, make an afrika expansion etc and revive it. Lets make ostwind into centaur and comet into panther and we just fixed 2 units. The copy and paste of stats was to give you fanbois no reason to challenge it. Shoulda known you'd find a way by dragging in a totally incomparable unit which has nothing to do with this especially since the panther and comet fill different rolls and are at different points in a tech tree.
