Thread: [2v2] Fighting SU76s19 Aug 2015, 10:55 AM Use a Puma on the OKW player, and basically work on flanking and hunting down the SU76's before theres too many of them. If you get past this stage and theres like 3-4 of them you'll prob need to use a panther. The Ostheer player needs to keep his paks spread out and use a halftrack to keep them crewed. Wont kill the SU76''s but at least you'll hold the ground until you can get something bigger. Stugs can also be effective if used properly vs them (dont engage multiple SU76's with 1 stug tho). Another tactic could be to have 3 Raketenwerfers stealthed, do a false fall-back so he moves them into range. Regal mines 1 shot SU76's too... something else to keep in mind. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Stuka counter in 2v2 as SU/SU or USF/SU?17 Aug 2015, 15:58 PM Its not really about using 1 unit to counter it every game. Keep weapon teams spaced out, make sure you dont bunch up infantry. (blobbing) The map is actually a massive factor here too, some maps its easy for you to sneak a t-70 or a medium tank around to flank it and take it out. Other maps not so much. (Veto compact city maps with lots of shot blockers if you struggle vs Stukka) like Ettlebruck station and that other one with the fuel in the graveyard and bridge in the middle. Those two are probably the best 2 maps for the Stukka. Nice narrow roads, clumped retreat paths and buildings to hide behind ect... Bait it. This is something i do alot with Sturmtigers too... Basically give your opponents a far too tempting target for them to ignore. Retreat and then youve earned yourself another 50 seconds of peace. (When doing this dont do it when theres an obvious retreat path or the Stukka will just bomb along it). After you bait it you can counterfire with Katyusha's Priests or ML-20's... If its too early in the game to have these then you will at least buy yourself time and prevent losses... Id advise the USF player to bait as he can retreat to a forward position when he gets a Major just dont let them find it and move it every few mins. Avoid massing weapon teams and relying on them too much. USF rocket aircraft are a decent counter too. Will at least make them run like hell if nothing else. In: Strategy Desk

But at the same time the gun needs a HP increase so it doesnt die in 1 stukka/il2 bomb strike (since the fuel cost would be unsustainable). tell you what ill make a list of changes... - LeFe - Needs less scatter - ML20 - Needs vet reworking (extra 2 shots brings it up to 12 per salvo, meaning it fires the same amount as the LeFe but has ALOT more damage). So remove that and have them at 10 shots per salvo. - Price changes to both + B4 to 400mp + 90 fuel - 60% Gun HP increase - Cannot fire at Base sectors - Give OKW a commander with the LeFe (or replace the bunkers with it in the defencive doctrine). Stg's were reserved for panzergrens IRL wouldnt make sense for volks to have them... 1 Lmg34 however... In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Jagdtiger on Rails and Metal15 Aug 2015, 16:50 PM I try to make sure im going something with Guards when i see my enemy is getting a jagd for Button ect. To be fair tho its probably a good idea for you to always have a doctrine on your loadout that has Marked Vehicle and use it whenever vs OKW. (They cannot recover easily from losing vehicles, and this ability basically counters them fairly hard). As you said you didnt see any panzerfusilers and that is unusual someone wouldn't use them (since they're really useful for OKW). Ideally you need to push them early game into picking a commander. If he didn't need one until 13 Cp then you probably wern't pressuring him hard enough. In: Red Army Strategies

Sneaky 222, Puma, or even a fallschrimjager call in on certain maps will do the trick. Flanking Shrek squads as well. The thing is the Katyusha is equally effective vs infantry at all stages of game, so you if are complaining that it raped your infantry units before you had a tank hard counter, well you already lost a lot of infantry and retaliating won't solve that problem. depends on the map as to what counters you have against it... Its highly unlikely any decent player will leave a katyusha in a position to be killed by a "sneaky shrek squad" 12 min Katy is too early, game its fine as it is.
