Thread: Dear Relic25 Jul 2014, 16:44 PM I don't know much about these things but I think AP rounds shooting through obstacles isn't that unusual. The big question is, if you put a Pak 43 behind an OKW truck and it shoots through the truck, does the truck get damaged Buildings in front of a Pak 43 gradually fall apart. Or just capture a Pak 43 and obliterate your opponents trucks. In: Lobby
Thread: Soviet Sniper ZiS 25 Jul 2014, 14:00 PM If you consider ost vs usf then the german sniper is much much better. Stun round can kill 3 models if bunched and gives you time to get an extra shot off. It's almost a squad wipe button. Soviet one suffers from being slowfiring and feels in general more sluggish with much worse cloaking and less mobility when jumping fences etc. If you kill a model they are out of the fight for a long time if they retreat. Ost sniper you just need a medic bunker then you bleed no manpower. They can vet really fast vs usf and then they do become very good. Is TWP still broken on Pak? It targets ground, so misses a lot I think. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Why always such drastical balancing changes?25 Jul 2014, 13:46 PM The reason they don't do regular mini patches is because they have to coordinate with Steam and also it breaks replays. That being said, steam allows them to patch more often than previously. Even so, small mini changes might not be beneficial, I think most of us aren't qualified to tell what is optimal when so many variables are at stake. In: COH2 Gameplay

If you scored a hit by a miss and good scatter roll, THAT can be stopped by terrain. No really. It was probably more like 7 shots it missed, there was an SU85 behind it so I wasn't too keen on manouevering. The shots hit the ground. This is on Minsk, not Hill. The change in elevation was barely perceptible. The KV8 was in capping mode and seems stuck in it (maybe it can't disable that in combat. (I've never built a KV8).Maybe that means that it was attacking ground as the KV8 was not in combat. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Panther video test 1v124 Jul 2014, 21:37 PM Why don't they just switch the costs for teching BP2 and building T3 like was suggested in a post a bit back. if it came 1-2 minutes faster as Ostheer it might be useful. Now when it comes out you've gimped yourself by skipping T3 and there are already call in armours running amok everywhere. Ok you can get T4 in long games or team games but still it weakens your force considerably getting there. Tiger everygame is obviously not optimal design. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Panther video test 1v124 Jul 2014, 21:16 PM Another point is that any slight change in height in the ground makes it miss. I missed at least 5 shots straight on a disabled KV8 from mid range on Minsk pocket before I realised what was going on. In: COH2 Balance

You can either see this in action by playing the game or watching countless replays of this happening. Go into a game and set them and and test it for yourself. The maxim will range the MG42 and fire on it while the MG42 will just sit there being pummelled with the crew just outside the edge of its arc. I think they have the same range but the maxim can stroll into the MG42 arc, set up and suppress the MG42 before it gets suppressed itself. In: COH2 Balance
