Do you live in the real world? while were at it they should patch Half life 2, im sure that makes tons of money today. Look, it doesnt get support like all old games because there is no money in it. Nothing is free, they cant go spending their time on shit that doesnt matter. Would you spend hours working on a project for free? they dont do this as a hobby, they need a living. In: COH Central

Thread: Why Vaulting is Overrated11 Oct 2015, 19:46 PM So your upset that a game design draw back (yea, I said it, infantry not being able to hop a small fence was pretty silly) made the game more interesting in the early game because there were small walls you could not go over. Really that just contributed to the static gameplay that plagued much of coh1 early on and led to so many sniper wars. Basically what you are arguing is the same thing that old fighter game players whine about. How my old broken game had abuses that let me "skillfully" beat the shit out of you. Then, in the newer game they took it out by improving the game mechanics (im looking at you super smash brothers melee vs the newest one). while not nearly as noticeable in coh1vscoh2 compared to infinite combo air lock vs the new games which got rid of that, its still exactly what you are talking about. Realistically wall hopping add more strategic play early on than took from it. Now the mg user has to worry about such consequences, and it gives more counterability to the other player. In: Lobby

What is happening instead is that the radius of the ability is so large that when it is used just outside of the base sector half of the bombs will hit well inside the base. On some maps much of the base is still safe, on other maps... Yea, and all they have to do, is when you click on an off map call-in, show you the circle and: 1) If the circle is at all within the base sector you cannot use it there 2) there is 0%chance of it hitting the base sector you can use it there Really my point is that I believe it is a fixable abuse that is happening. Thread: Anti Base Artillery 30 Sep 2015, 17:42 PM This is something I have bought up before. Abilities should be consistent for fair play but they are not simply because some are deemed too powerful. In this case none of the call ins should be able to hit the base sector. It is a low key concern, but a simple and rewarding change to the game. On this note abilities that RNG could affect the base sector should also not allowed to be used. We have already seen them do it. Grenadier's rifle grenades clearly show the range of which can be damaged, and can simply be added to any strike with a circle. My main concern is the Air superiority British Call in bombing run. Not only is op currently (even if it couldnt be used on the base sector) but you can still center the strike on a location at the corner of the base sector and nuke the base This should not be allowed, and by extension no ability should be able to do this. Thread: Centaur28 Sep 2015, 13:50 PM You can kill them but that doesnt make them good entities in an RTS. Any blink of an eye wipe units do not promote good play. At least the KV8 comes later and has to get reasonably close. The centaur will wipe at max range with no issue. While the ARVE and the Sturm Tiger are the literal sense of blink of an eye wipe at least they are only a single shot and have a down time. Centaur comes out early and can keep shooting. I am really disappointed that the Bofors got addressed while this one that acts pretty much identical did not. In: COH2 Balance
