Depending on a map a Kübelwagen is very strong. Road to Charkhov as an example.
With one Kübelwagen & sturmpioneer squad I usually manages to harass the enemy to a extent that forces him to pull off his whole force just to clear his cut off point. Meanwhile my volks can cap the whole map.

The sturmpio + Kübel combo is really strong in early game, unless you face a dodge or an m3.

A lot of people mention here that you will eventually lose and in that way it's wasted manpower compared to a volks squad.
That's only partly true. You eventually will lose it, but it doesn't bleed manpower like a squad that needs reinforcement all the time.

Actually P4 does better job at AI having less scatter and much more powerful MGs, including pintle one.

You are right, the p4 has might more constant damage, but the lethality of it is not as high as the t34.

I never witnessed a p4 wiping a squad in a shot. A t34 can do this and often does it since the german squads are smaller, thus have less hp and unit entites tend to crowd on a spot.

But please this is a thread about the easy8 not the t34, please don't derail, further discussions in another thread or via pm.

The p4 has better armor and better penetration, so the chance to win against a t34/76 is higher than 50%.

I was referring to the health pool the p4 has left after an engagement. Not the chance to win. A usual engagement the p4 always wins unless the RN Gods hold a grudge against you.

The vet 5 system is implemented in the game. De facto some units never reach vet 5, even if the game takes one hour.

People only ask that something that is implemented in the game also actually appears in the game. If this causes balance issues veteran ranks still can be nerfed.

I for example never managed to get a vet 4 stuka rendering the fire bombs useless since they don't appear. Same goes for sturmtiger, luchs, Kübel, obersoldaten, etc.. Most units don't manage to get their vet 5 and that's rather disappointing if you take into account that it's one of the main okw features.

I would suggest that the requirements of the vet ranks are scaled down, like vet 3 + 40% of other factions is required for the okw vet 5.

If some abilities seem to strong then a nerf could help. I think the Luchs vet 5 ability must be really strong, yet I never encountered which is sad as its a feature that is implemented but absent.

Lower vet requirements would actually introduce new strategies in the game and some units would be worth to produce, like the Sturmtiger.
