Fallschirmjäger FG42 rifle- animation change?

Hi there,

no balance issue, just an immersion one.

Is there a reason why the FG42 shoots like a SMG ingame? As far as I know it was a full sized battle rifle with the same caliber as the Kar98.

In CoH1 the FG42 was rather well represented: Bar-like rate of fire and more punch per shot than a SMG.

Woudnt it be cool if CoH2 followed the same approach? I mean, we have already so many SMG units available while semi&full automatic battle rifles arent there too many.

Just an idea which, maybe, could be included into the current balance issue.

I'd prefer shorter bursts and then maybe adjust the reload interval (which is actually pretty low) or cooldown some to compensate myself, but I'm not sure just how that'd effect balance. I know however that it did have a higher ROF than the BAR IRL.
