Leave aside manpower, industry and logistical, which is three of the most important factors in the war, i highly curious what is left for the german to be "superior" ?
I would say tactics and equipment. Of course those are points looked at in a vacuum.
Russian "tactics" in the late war was massing artillery and then rushing in units with little regard to own losses. Any other army applying this strategy - with less manpower available - wouldn't last very long.
As for equipment, Germans still had the edge with Panzerfausts, MG 42s and to some extend StG44s. While T-34s and IS-2s look good on paper or are hyped by the history channel, their individual performance was lackluster.
The KT offers less infantry killing power and utility than a Panzer IV. It's pretty much the same old problem again. I think the infantry killign power of the MGs should at least be at P4 levels.
